Insane cult trying to undermine the stability of society? Powerful mage whose very presence unmakes the world? John doesn’t care. He’s getting married. After rescuing Katrine, sealing himself into a manaless state, and defending against the most dangerous beast tide the world has ever seen, John only has one thing on his mind. Epic with a giant "E"
Reviewed: 01-11-25
Michael Kramer hits it out of the park as usual and Seth delivers an epic story. He's so good as wring John as an Overpowered character while still making his struggles engaging and interesting! 10/10

Cool ideas with lackluster delivery
Reviewed: 10-17-24
The permance is robotically delivered and the characters are lifeless clichés. I love the ideas the author has and want to see how the story develops so I may listento the next one. I can tell he knows where he's going with this and I'm along for the ride, it just feels like the characters are tools to tell the story, rather than integral parts of said story. It doesn't feel like they are living beings in a living world with their own goals outside of the narrative, and I find it hard to relate to or care about them.

Story
Being a small dungeon on the outskirts of town in the backwaters of an unimportant kingdom isn't easy, but Kelsey's done her best to level up and become the best dungeon she can be: Digging a hole of ever-increasing depth and complexity. Creating an undead atmosphere that would make a necromancer proud. Spawning monsters and treasure. Killing adventurers. But lately, things have gotten a bit stale.

From Pirate to Property
Reviewed: 09-25-24
Ran into the first half of this jem on YouTube, on some pirate's channel. Thought it was kind of messed up that some one uploaded without permission but was intrigued enough to keep listening. I liked what I was hearing so I switched to Audible bought it and listened to the rest. I was not disappointed. It ended at a nice place while leaving me hungry for more!

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

love Nick Podehl but...

My one complaint regarding Nick's performance is the long pauses of silence from one sentence to the next. This could be editing too but either way, I often found it annoying. Other than that, it was a dynamic performance!

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

So good! Great ending. but...

So my one criticism with the performance is that Kramer changed Elend's voice a bit much from the last book, then changed Ham's voice drastically in the middle of this one. Elend's has a handwavy explanation in the form of new found confidence, but Ham???

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.
