The book is great, but the recording and editing made concentration extremely difficult. I concur with most everything Dr. Harper says throughout the book and have implemented many of these skills into my own Recovery from opiate addiction. 4 years clean and going strong!! My only offered bit of insight would be to have a better condenser microphone, a smaller, insulated room from which to record, and an 'On Air' sign to encourage people to refrain from interrupting. (That last one was kind of a joke.) While I was listening, I was attempting to follow along with whatever recommendations and/or exercises that were offered. This became increasingly difficult with the sounds of vehicles and people in the background, but I understand that life is life and things happen. 5 stars on literary content, the book is phenomenal

What a fantastic podcast. Very fun, from beginning to end, with a wonderful guest. Katie is a superhero, in my opinion, and I shall make a donation to her non- profit organization. This donation will be made as a DIRECT result of this interview. You guys, Mike and Chuck, are doing incredibly wonderful things and add a bit more pride to being a Baltimoron!! All jokes aside, what you do at Mike Rowe Works is not only commendable but trend setting as well. Each and every episode seems to add to my desire to ramp up my own efforts. I am in recovery and will have 4 years clean on January 17th of 2022 and continue to work in the recovery community. My fiancé and I collect and distribute coats and blankets in the cold season, hygienic products, and underwear year round, we contribute to the rehab facility where we both achieved sobriety after a decade long battle with opiate addiction. Thanksgiving and Christmas are difficult times for the less fortunate. Therefore, we purchase and cook a full spread and take it to Project Echo (a local homeless shelter) and serve the aforementioned people. We have a son now, Orion Sage, who turns 2 on November 24th and we want him to grow up recognizing that not everyone has heat, food, or family. And most pertinent of all show Orion that Christmas is NOT about gifts and shopping. Regardless of whatever belief a person has, I believe we can all agree that these holidays have all but completely lost their true meanings. I'm way off course here, but I'm elated to know that there truly are still good people in this world, namely in this country. Also, I feel a sense of pride knowing that a regular guy who grew up just 15 minutes from where I did is making such a huge impact. Seriously, Mike and Chuck, you guys are doing it, man. Keep it up, carry that torch up high, do not censor yourselves, and please continue to make positive changes in people's lives. How's that for a 5-star review?? You guys are awesome, and I hope to be able to make even one tenth the impact that you have.

Hello from the University of Rossville Boulevard! AKA Community College of Baltimore County, Essex. This podcast is informative, comprehensive, and provocative. It is far beyond time for people to contact their elected officials and get this train rolling. Scientology MUST have their tax exemption status revoked because I doubt that I'm alone in saying I'm not ok with MY tax dollars funding terrorism. Yes, domestic terrorism, people. Wake up!! Excellent interview, guys!! Keep it up, Mike and Chuck!

I cannot say enough good things about Marc Thompson and his ability to convey emotion, personify his characters, and his second- to- none story telling. Fantastic performance, yet again, coupled with an absolutely masterful piece of literature. What an helluva combination of author and performer as well. I am quite literally jumping into book 3, Dynasty of Evil, the very instant that I submit this review. Well done gentlemen and I do hope for more future collaborations.

This was a good book overall, not great, but definitely good. Story feels like it's stalling at points but will pick right back just before I would get to wanting to skip something. Not that I ever do that, I just sayin......

The reading was great as i have come to expect from Johnathan Davis (not of korn fame). The story was good but a little weak. I like the plot and theme but felt some things could have been dropped while deeply elaborating on others. Not going to spoil anything, though.
