Everything I wanted in a book right now

I was looking for a cozy fantasy romance and this book did not disappoint. The plot and pacing were great. The banter between the characters was funny. There was still plenty happening so even though it was pretty cozy, it was never boring. The narration was great too! I listened to the next book in this series immediately upon finishing this one and it was just as good. I think this may shape up to be one of my favorite authors.

I enjoyed this book so much! Perhaps one of my favorite books in a long time. It was cozy, had great banter and pacing, and I liked the characters so much!

This was a great listen for a family road trip! Lots of giggles from the five and seven year old and plenty from the adults too. Kate Winslet did a fantastic job narrating this.
