Story
There’s been a breakthrough on the campus of Caltech. A discovery. An invention. One so startling and surprisingly sinister that the inventor can’t tell a soul. Precariously poised at the center of the action is Victoria Pixler, a bioengineering student with a tragic past, a passionate quest, and a brilliant mind. After a decade of dedication, she’s just completed her life’s work only to have her dream shattered and her career terminated - by the least likely suspect.

An Exciting Opener

It is easy to like the leading character Chase. The author knows how to create characters that we can relate to - that are both strong and still have flaws that make them human. An excellent start and make us anticipate the next novel.
Audible, hurry and get all six novels into audio book format. Really waiting to hear more about Chase. The narrator, Kyle Tait, has become one of my favorite narrators- he is both believable and has become the voice of Chase Fulton. I hope to hear more from him also.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Rook to be better than the print version?
I can't answer this questin because I don't read books, just listen to them. All the books in this series are a good listen. Richard Ferrone is a wonderful narrater, you won't be disappointed if you like Murder mysteries! The writer paints his characters well and the books should be listened to in order as characters and villains move from book to book.Waiting for more Patrick Bowers Books.
