Story
Shaw and North are best friends, private detectives, and in danger of losing their agency. A single bad case, followed by crippling lawsuits, has put them on the brink of closing shop. Until, that is, a client walks into their Benton Park office. Matty Fennmore is young, blond, and beautiful, and he’s in danger. When he asks for Shaw and North’s help foiling a blackmail scheme, the detectives are quick to accept. As they dig into the identity of Matty’s blackmailer, they are caught in a web that touches politicians, the local LGBT community, and the city’s police.

The first book in a new series by Gregory Ashe! ❤️
Reviewed: 10-20-19
The new series features Shaw & North as private detectives. They are long time friends who know and can read each other like a book. I enjoyed this book because I adore Gregory Ashe’s writing style and he is amazing with a mystery.
If you like Hazard & Somerset, you will love North & Shaw. Now I’ll wait for the next book to be done in audio-soon, I hope!!! ❤️

Story
When Caleb Chance walked out in Detroit five years ago, leaving his band, millions of his fans and his lover behind, Leo knew he could never forgive. Some things, no matter what the cause, are unforgivable. But Leo never expected Caleb to show up again, clean and sober and wanting to get their band, Star Shadow, back together. He definitely never expected to agree to Caleb's plan. He never expected to confront the love of his life again - or the disaster of his past, the hopelessness of his future, and every terrible thing he's been carrying inside him.

This book was a surprise in so many ways. It started slowly and built up to a perfect ending! TJ Klune is one of my favorite authors and this book confirmed to me that he is a genius. It is a mix of sweet romance, sci-fi, and a twisting and turning mystery!
Kirt Graves was a masterful narrator of this story.
If there were more stars, this book and narrative would get them all!!! ❤️

Story
Austin Glass seems to have it all: a loving fiancée, a future with the FBI, and a healthy-sized trust fund. At least on the surface. He also has a grin and a wisecrack for every situation. But the smile he presents to the world hides a painful past he’s buried too deeply to remember, and his quips mask bitterness and insecurity. Austin has himself and most of the whole world fooled - until he meets a redhead in a pair of bunny slippers.

A Very Different Kind of Love Story!!! ❤️

I enjoyed the story and loved the two main characters so much! Joseph Northton did an excellent job with all of the character voices in the story but Peter and Austin were my favorites. I wish that the second book was forthcoming, but it’s been 7 years since he wrote this one, so I’m not holding my breath. Definitely give this one a go though!!!

Story
Emery Hazard and his boyfriend, John-Henry Somerset, just want to enjoy the day at the Dore County Independence Fair. At the shooting gallery, though, Hazard comes face to face with one of his old bullies: Mikey Grames. Even as a drugged-out wreck, Mikey is a reminder of all the ugliness in Hazard’s past. And Mikey seems to know something Hazard doesn’t - something about the fresh tension brewing in town. When the Chief of Police interrupts Hazard’s day at the fair, she has a strange request. She doesn’t want Hazard and Somers to solve a murder. She wants them to prevent one.

A gripping series!

I really enjoyed this series overall. This last book was a bit harder for me to get through because of the violence. It seemed like it was all directed at Hazard & Somers and was unrelenting.
Tristan James’ performance was amazing and really added a lot to the characters.
