Story
Vanessa Mazur refuses to feel bad for quitting—she knows she’s doing the right thing. The thankless job of personal assistant to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans for her life, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear one more day for a man who could never find it in him to tell her good morning, congratulate her on a job well done, or wish her a happy birthday—even when she was spending it working for him.

Apparently the audio was updated with new narrators and my version was automatically updated. Wish I was given the option. Story isn’t the same. Very disappointing.

The narration was amazing. Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin worked so well for Dex & Nora!
This is the long awaited fourth book in the Dirty Martini Running Club and not a single word disappointed. I’ve always loved Nora as a side character in the other books and loved her getting her own story. Dex is the sexy tattoo artist next door neighbor. The chemistry is amazing. They are a perfect mix! ❤️

That’s a hard pass. He already learned the hard way that he’s better off alone. Fiona Gallagher has a problem. Or more like 10, but who’s counting? The trouble with her car is just the cherry on top of the crap sundae, but she won’t let that get her down. Besides, she has a plan. Evan Bailey - that brooding custom car builder who happens to hate her father - is going to help her.

Audio: Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson did an amazing job with this audio! Absolutely loved these characters brought to life! ❤️
Claire is one of the few writers I can truly say EVERY. SINGLE.BOOK is better than the last. I love this series, and I love this little town, and their ridiculously funny feud pranks. Evan is hot and sexy but so lonely without even realizing it. Fiona is sooooo underestimates and under appreciated by her dad and friends that it was amazing to watch her break out of her shell and bull doze Evans life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All the stars!

Oh my! I absolutely loved Linc and Macs story. It was sooooo worth the wait! The depth behind Linc, what everyone sees vs who he truly is. Mac picking herself up and becoming something/someone with her background. How she ties in with Luke and Aldo. Lucy Score is a masterminding Genius with all her little tie bits and Easter eggs that all come full circle.

Gloria has spent the last ten years at the hands of an abuser, when she's finally made the decision to get away it isn't as easy as she thought it would be but that doesn't mean that a stranger and the rest of town aren't willing to help. Now she just needs to learn to stand on her own two feet, and show the town that she's more than "poor little Gloria"
Aldo has had a crush on Gloria since high school, but between thinking he was two old for her, and her abusive boyfriend, she's kept his distance. Now that she's gotten a fresh start he's waiting for her to find herself, but then Aldo hits a rough patch of his own, and isn't sure he is good enough for her.
The entirety of Finally Mine happens throughout the same timeline of Pretend You're Mine, so there aren't really any spoiler or surprises if you have already read PYM, but it gives you Aldo & Glorias POV. Love Love Loved their story. It was so sweet.

I cant get enough of Bootleg Springs and their bootleg justice. I wish so much that I could actually be a part of this fun, lively, small town. From they Mayor holding secret town meetings all the way down to the Sheriffs wife ending up in a spot of trouble after some hard moonshine drinking. I was in tears of laughter. Cassidy & Bowie of such a lovely mess. This was the perfect best friend’s older brother romance! Cant wait for the rest of the series.

I love Bootleg Springs, I want so much to pack my bags and move into this wonderful small town and just become one of the gossiping neighbors. Although the Bodines have a reputation to uphold as the bad boys of the county I love that Jameson is a sensitive artist type showing you can be both without taking away from either. I love the 2nd chance romance feel of the story line and how the town rallies around their own no matter how long s/he hasn’t been around for. Such a great read cant wait for the rest.

There aren’t enough words to describe how much I love Scarlett Bodine. I want to grow up to be her, she has such a larger than life personality and this mother hen quality to take care of her brothers and her people even when it look more like scheming. Dev coming out of his broken shell self with Scarlett’s poking and prodding is the best. He’s not as stuffy as he appears and he’s willing to serve a big ole helping of bootleg justice for his girl and her family.

I read this book when it first came out. The suspense of finding out what happened and why always drives me to speed read through the book, then come back a second time to really enjoy it. Coming back for a third time and bringing the voices to life is always a favorite experience. The narrators did a wonderful job or bringing the characters to life.
I didn’t know how much I needed this in my life! The origin story was amazing. I feel so connected to Asher & Grace, and the rest of the Bailey family getting that backstory of how they grew up before getting into their book. Even getting to know the town itself impacted my feelings. Counting down to Fighting For Us!
