This book was a blessing to me. Seeing kindness as being so integral in living a true Christian life, is such and eye-opening and refreshing point. I loved hearing Candace share her heart and struggles, even though she is a celebrity. These truths definitely will spur me on to strive to demonstrate patience and kindness in the future when faced with adversity. Praise God for his loving kindness shown to His children even when we are being selfish and sinful. I pray others will grasp these valuable lessons from this reading as I have.

This book was presented to me at the most difficult time thus far in my life and marriage. After 27 years of marriage, everything is a mess and all I have is my almost grown and grown up kids, plus my Savior!! I know HE will lead me through this seeming nightmare and grow me and my faith in the process. Thank you to Lysa for confirmation of these scriptural truths that God has NOT forgotten me.

There are so many valuable quotes and advice that many times I couldn’t write fast enough to jot them all down. I found the book’s format of following Greg’s journey from loss to purpose to be the key to keeping me totally engaged. I am so grateful for the timely advice to keep going in spite of adversity and to never quit. Great read!!
