This was a very interesting series and take on shifters. The series held my attention but the last 2 books felt rushed. It built to what was expected to be an epic battle, but it was underwhelming written. There are still detail I feel are left unaddressed with no closure.

Great Slow Burn
Reviewed: 11-16-23
OK, Most of the time slow burns get on my nerves and I am like "just kiss already." 💋 Not with this story. The way the author adds in back story with raising the stakes, I could not wait to see what happened next. I listened to it all in one go. I can't wait to see what else this author brings to Audible.
The narration was awesome. I could easily distinguish which character was speaking and the kids voice was good too.
These two make a good team

I have listened to this story over 10 times. I love the narration from Jennifer Pickens. Easy to follow and she builds the intensity and emotion.
The world is our own but the differences are well thought out and included in a beautiful show don't tell.
Besides the main characters you Fallin love with this group of US Marshall's, Dragons, and Meta humans.
Followed up by Transistor, Molly J Bragg has become an author I follow awaiting the next creation...

As per my tastes, I usually do not partake in historical romances. I am so glad I ignored that fact and read this series!...
Book 1 starts with characters and the Oregon Trail
Book 2 starts 17 years later and tells the kids stories and how secrets can affect a family
Beautifully written with a constant pace edged with suspense. Could not stop listening..
Good narration and a refreshing take on western/frontier trope.

Also some good life advice ---- F*#k Should--- I'm totally using that from now on. One of the better stories I have read in a while.. Highly recommend

Cassidy Clarke wants to find herself. Tasked with scattering her friend Mason’s ashes, she heads to the campground where they met as kids. She expects the grief. She expects the guilt. She expects how absent she feels in her own life. What she doesn’t expect is the broken disrepair of the campground. Or the grouchily broody, yet intriguingly beautiful, cabin manager.
