About this listen

Cassidy Clarke wants to find herself. Tasked with scattering her friend Mason’s ashes, she heads to the campground where they met as kids. She expects the grief. She expects the guilt. She expects how absent she feels in her own life. What she doesn’t expect is the broken disrepair of the campground. Or the grouchily broody, yet intriguingly beautiful, cabin manager.

Francesca Sisto wants to lose herself. A deadly tragedy eight months ago has left her battered and guilt-ridden. The job at a rundown, very sparsely populated campground was supposed to keep her away from people. But when a very demanding and infuriatingly attractive guest keeps calling, she has no choice but to be a person and interact. They aren’t looking for love, they’re actively avoiding it. Nobody knows better than Cassidy and Frankie that life doesn’t always give you what you want. But sometimes, if you’re lucky, life gives you exactly what you need.

Best Beers Novel

Georgia Beers continues her recent list of amazing novels with Camp Lost and Found. In my opinion, this is her best work to date. The characters are well developed with each main character having issues they are dealing with. The part I like most is the lack of angst between the characters. They fall for each other and there is no misunderstanding or miscommunication that pulls them apart. Outstanding novel.

Heartfelt and moving

Georgia Beers does it again! The characters have real depth and will move your emotions. The themes of guilt and grief are expertly handled. This is one I will listen / read again!

Great story line!

This could be a movie on a certain channel (sappy romance channel loved by many). The character development is amazing.

Heartwarming and sincere

I can related to Frankie’s trauma and I understand the overwhelming amount of guilt that paralyzes you. Very well written book.

Representation matters!!

It was something that was understated, but allow me to overstate it in the review. This story has a black main character that is queer!!! Far too often there isn’t any representation outside of blonde hair and blue eyes, so thank you!! And also thank you for not playing into the old tired “angry black woman” trope. We deserve happiness and representation too!

Another gem from Georgia

I love listening to any of Georgia's books and this one didn't disappoint. I loved the storyline, it was new and refreshing. The characters made you laugh one moment and made you cry the next. Lula was wonderful as always.

Grab a tissue box

Wow, do yourself a favor and give this book a listen. The characters could be someone you know. Beers’ words, with Larkin’s performance= time well spent.

well-developed characters

this book was a departure of sorts from lesfic in that there were heavy topics included and portrayed very well. The MCs were nuanced as well as the supporting characters. The setting was glorious in the Adirondack Mountains. I would enjoy a sequel including former characters from other Georgia Beers's novels. I mostly appreciated the WOC MC. The performance of Lula Larkin was engaging.
