Story
After taking down an old adversary, Agent Cooper Dayton of the Bureau of Special Investigations has earned a break. Not that planning a wedding to his sexy shifter partner, Oliver Park, is necessarily stress-free, but it's better than worrying about the ominous warning, delivered months ago, that Cooper's life is in danger. When he's dragged to an event by his family, Cooper braces for an awkward evening but instead finds himself in the middle of an ugly feud between Park's ex and a rebel pack leader.

I enjoyed the descriptions of the animals but got somewhat distracted by the sex scenes, maybe because I’m not used to hearing them read out loud?. I also can’t believe they named the puppy “Box” lol.

There are plenty of words Jonah Collins could use to describe Dylan Ramírez. “Arrogant,” “spoiled,” and “golden boy” to name a few. Likewise, Dylan thinks he has Jonah accurately labeled as an attention-seeking asshat who never shuts his filthy mouth. Their friends are convinced Jonah’s and Dylan’s disdain for one another is just thinly veiled lust—a rumor that surges like wildfire when the two wake up in one bed after homecoming. Mutually horrified, Dylan and Jonah agree to use the faux pas to their advantage by fake dating.

Max Remus couldn't care less about finding his mate—unlike the rest of his fate-obsessed pack. He totally prefers hanging with his bestie, eating his dad's steak sandwiches, and drawing in his trusty sketchbook. But all that is about to change at the Blue Moon Festival—a summer camp where Elite Pack wolves go to find their mates. The festival is a rite of passage for every teen werewolf, and this year's festival will be one to howl home about. The alpha's son, Jasper Apollo, is attending for the first time.

This novel stated out great but then became repetitive and boring and ultimately had a very unsatisfying ending. I had really hoped for more of a conflict between Verity and Lowen. The whole story didn’t come together and the characters were one dimensional.

A sad chapter in the life of Dave Gurney
Reviewed: 11-10-23
I normally enjoy these books very much and my favorite part is the dynamic between they’ve got any of the detective and Dave gurney the man who lives at Walnut Crossing and his wife and the alpacas- but this one was very sad and I didn’t like the ending. I hope that Dave gurney gets a better story in the next book
And also, I absolutely did not like that Jack Hardwick never recovered I love him!
