Story
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

The characters are wonderful
Reviewed: 05-21-24
I’m a man old enough to be the primary characters father so wasn’t sure how I’d do with this book. I was looking for a lighter rom com type story to listen to after a couple non fiction books. This obviously dealt with some serious issues but the characters really stayed with me. I found myself thinking of them days after I finished the book. I loved everything about the book and the narrators are fantastic! I will definitely be looking for something else to read by this author.

Brought back many memories…

Thank you for this audio book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was so easy to listen to. I’m just a few years older than the author and I enjoyed his personal story of the business he went into and the growth and maturity he achieved as a person. And the references to all the shows and movies brought me back to those time periods in my own life. I will definitely read or listen to his second book.

Story
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Sadly I am done

I’ve read many books in the Gabriel Allon series and I tried three times to get thru this one but stopped about halfway. The author sadly feels the need to tell us his politics throughout the book on every subject and is righteous about it. He may be correct about some of it but it is an insurmountable turn off that he authoritatively assumes his readers are sheep to be led. I’ll miss Gabriel.

Story
Mikhail Khodorkovsky has seen behind the mask of Vladimir Putin. Once an oil tycoon and the richest man in Russia, Khodorkovsky spoke out against the corruption of Putin's regime—and was punished by the Kremlin, stripped of his entire wealth and jailed for over ten years. Now freed, working as a pro-democracy campaigner in enforced exile, Khodorkovsky brings us the insider's battle to save his country's soul. Offering an urgent analysis of what has gone wrong with Putin, The Russia Conundrum maps the country's rise and fall against Khodorkovsky's own journey.

Just one mistake…
Reviewed: 06-16-23
I think this was very good. It was very helpful to my understanding. However I think the author made a mistake in obviously and repeatedly taking
a side against Trump, MAGA, and the deep state in the US. It’s not that I disagree with the author, but those folks need to read the book, and the negative comments about those things will probably cause many to stop reading or never start at all if they hear about them. Just wasn’t necessary in my opinion.
