Story
I was once an average college student with dreams of the Olympics. A better future had been within my grasp. I was weeks away from graduating from college, and I had just received my invitation to the National Team. Sure, I was still nursing a broken heart and coming to terms with the betrayal delivered to me at the hands of people I once trusted and loved dearly. However, things were finally looking up. Or so I thought. The news began to report disturbing stories about a new virus. This virus was turning people. The infected became violent and attacking anybody and everybody. My plans for ...

great story. can't stand AI
Reviewed: 05-27-24
I love this series, and if read it more than once. I couldn't wait for it to be on audible. im Disappointed by the use of virtual voice. The virtual voice is pleasant enough to listen to but doesn't "understand" what its reading. For example, the dash symbol is read as "minus" and when the character's name of Avery is shortened to Ave it's read as "Avenue". There also very little emotional inflection in the voice and no changes in voice between characters.

Diana Gabaldon’s magnificent historical saga, begun with Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber, continues with this New York Times bestseller. Set in the intriguing Scotland of 200 years ago, the third installment in the romantic adventures of Jamie and Claire is as compelling as the first.

the story was different than the usual time travel. there was one point when I was a little annoyed with the "he/she misunderstood each other" because it can only drag on so long. I have to say the narrator was amazing.

I read this series and wanted to hear it on audible. the story is so well written with rich and complex characters, and a story line with lots of twists and turns..especially as you go on to the other books,, but narrator's voice just fell flat (for me) ...especially when doing other voices for supporting characters -- especially men.

Three things Lynsey Jones knows about the hot doctor: he's grouchy, an arrogant jerk, and strangely obsessed with pie. Three things Dr. Josh Richardson knows: He doesn't talk about his past, he doesn't do relationships, and the crazy girl in the hospital cafeteria who ate a fistful of French silk pie...is annoyingly irresistible. After a chance meetup at a bar and a heated cab ride together, things come to a head. Three months later, the weird cafeteria stalker who crept out of Josh's house like a thief in the night winds up as his patient in the ER after her Tinder date from hell.

I had it all. Dream job, fancy apartment, great family. But there was one thing I didn’t have. Would never have. Then he showed up. Rich. Arrogant. Condescending. He came to me with an ultimatum, and I had no choice but to agree. I needed to convince the world that I was Nathaniel Harrington’s girlfriend, so his legacy would stay intact. Spending time with him would be difficult. And fooling the world would be even harder.
