I really liked this book. It had you hooked from the very beginning all the way to the end. When your gut is telling you something, you believe it! You have all this hope, and then the ending… my gosh the ending of this book. I did not see that happening. Seriously, it’s so good!

I’m a golden boy. A genius law student, the heir to the Carson empire, and the dutiful son. Or, at least, that's what it looks like from the outside. Deep inside, I have the urge to set the world on fire. I keep these impulses in check, rarely indulging in mayhem. Until one night of debauchery backfires, and I'm caught by a villain. I bury the entire ordeal with the rest of my skeletons. That is, until that night walks into my classroom in the form of my new professor. Kayden Lockwood.

Oh man… where do I start with this book. I am not going to lie I was super excited that Gareth got a book. I was expecting him to be shy/quiet but also like unhinged and very independent. In the series The Legacy Of The Gods, to me Gareth is painted as this stubborn strong man. In this book… He was kind of the opposite, and I am not sure how I feel about that. He almost turned meek in a way. Don’t get me wrong, I still loved this book and love Gareth; I just wanted a little bit more of an independence from him and strongness. All and all it was still good.

Briggs: Remember when we parted ways in Germany? It was the day I broke your heart. What you didn't know was that I was breaking mine too. I thought they'd be enough - my husband and my son. That I'd get home and everything would go back to the way it was...before the war. Before the ambush. Before you. But, no matter how hard I try, I can't erase the trauma we shared. I can't seem to forget the way my heart beat in time with yours. I thought the nightmare was over when they pulled us from that hole in the ground, but nothing could have prepared me for the war I'd face at home.

Man this book… not gonna lie, it gave me a little bit of anxiety. I had this feeling that something bad was going to happen (spoiler: nothing bad happens). Katie is a nurse in the military who deploys and meets Briggs on deployment. What Katie and Briggs go through is devastating. When Katie gets back she is not the same person and her husband Gavin try’s everything to make it better, but Katie is struggling. I felt like this book captures so many raw moments that are not talked about enough. I feel like everything that Katie was going through had to be extremely hard. With her husband also being a Captain in the military, he was understanding to a point but felt like she need to get past what happened, but Katie would not open up to him. This book was good, there was depth to the story and I felt like it was well researched and was done right.

I just love the way Rebecca write. She know show to write a story and keep you hooked. This book is about Hudson and Allie. Hudson is a National Guard and Allie is a ballerina. They meet when they were 16 and both loved each other since that day. There was a tragic accident that Allie was involved in and Hudson took off for basic training. This story was truly beautiful and just everything you want in the book. It was angsty, emotional, jaw dropping, raw, and just beautiful. It gives you the feel goods.

Everyone said this book is super sad and that it made them cry. For me that was not the case. I felt really confused (maybe I missed the mark on this book). However, no one talks about how depressing it is. All the characters are depressed and just trying to get by until they die. I get it they are sick, but it was hard to read. Not boring, but heavy. I found myself having to take breaks because of how heavy the book was. There was some funny bits in the book a lot of dark humor.

Another beautiful story written by Kristin. Just when you think you may be reading a story where nothing goes wrong… it does and it freaking gets you! Lexie had been in foster care her whole life until the social worker was able to track her aunt down who took Lexie in. Mia and Zach are twins and could not be more opposite of each other. Zach was mister popular and Mia was this quiet shy gal who she thought now one liked, until Lexie showed up and sat with her. One night all of their live changed and over the course of 5 years they kept changing. I had a hard time with the mom. She bugged me and rubbed me the wrong way. I understand why, but she held onto way too much and treated people badly until a conversation with Lexie, but she held onto 6 years being bitter and not even trying to make things better. That all being said it was still a good book and I could not put this one down either.

This book…. I am not even sure where to start. This book was devastating, beautiful, eye opening, and raw. Kristin has such a way of words that makes you fall in love with characters. Her writing is so beautiful. Elsa is this strong woman who did what was best for her children. Rafe her husband left them because he didn’t want to struggle anymore. Elsa stayed and did her best, but when the dust would not let up she picked up her family and left Texas and headed to California. Only to find out when they got to California, they didn’t want “her kind” there. She had to fight for everything she had in California and be strong until the very last minute. I could not put this book down, I read it in one day.

I loved this book, I knew it was going to be my favorite out of the series. Ranger man he is something else. The way he cared and took care of Sydney and was right there. He even stood up to his brothers (who have always protected him, because he was “different”). Sydney came into rangers life when he needed someone the most and she needed to get a way from the press and her ex. He made sure to put her needs first and make her feel comfortable in any way he could. Sydney gave him everything and let him be “adventurous” with her. Sydney was okay with the way Ranger was and she loved how smart he was. She never once made him feel less than or even made fun of him. Seriously the perfect couple and such a great way to end the series with his book.

Honestly I didn’t think I would like Gunners book.. However… I think so far this is my favorite book! Ohhh Gunner he is perceived as light hearted, not really serious, jokester who is not taken seriously. However! He is soooo much more. I love him and Della. They are sooo perfect together. He is trying to make a name for herself and prove to everyone that she can do it, despite her dad trying to keep things from her and keep her safe. I feel like Gunner had the most character development so far in the series and I loved how Archer acknowledged that and even apologized and told him why. This book was seriously so good!

I liked Hunter’s and Zoey’s book. I kind of felt like this book was more slow moving and kind of fell a little flat for me. Hunter knew what he wanted and he was just waiting for Zoey to get on board and realize its him that he wants. I do love how he joins Zoey’s book club and starts listening to her books and is trying to do something she loves. I also love the fact that he’s into her romance books and is super secure with her reading them. I did like Hunter’s personality in this book, it was calm, but determined. The one thing I have been loving out of all these books is the love the brothers have for each other and how they take care of each other. No matter the issue they all take it seriously and make sure everyone knows that they are not too messed with or their loved ones. This was such a great story, just not my favorite.
