Tricey, Vic, and Lyric are three friends from the Southside of Chicago fighting in the tumultuous war to find the one amongst the chaotic sea of Mr. Wrongs. After breaking up with her baby's father, Memphis, Vic is in the arms of one new beau after the next, turning her heartbreak into a life filled with bald-headed h*e shenanigans. I selected this book, because the narrators are 2 of my favorites. If it wasn't for them the book would be a hard listen FOR ME. Just a lot going on at one time. 🤷🏾♀️

Deemed Detroit's bad boy, Czar is a man of many layers. To the world, he's a lyrical genius with a sharp tongue and tough exterior. Behind closed doors, he battles with dark demons from his past while dodging industry drama, scandals, and lies. Marley is walking through life barely existing. I love audio books that are long with good storyline and where the narrator(s) can deliver so that you feel like you are actually watching it in real life. This book had everything from good individual stories that tied into the overall picture. I loved how it made laugh ALOT, cry and yell at some of the things the characters were doing. If this author could do another book similar to this I would truly appreciate it. Definitely a chef kiss to the author.

Reviewed: 01-01-25
As always iiKane has done it again. I love her narration. The way she throws her voice for so many different characters is amazing. She, Wesleigh and Honey have to be the GOATS of female narration.
Now about the book. I like how new characters were added, but I believe a 3rd books should be added to the all the characters of book 1 & 2. Definitely need more from them all.
I'll wait. Please and thank you...😂😂😂😂

Too much trauma for me
Reviewed: 12-28-24
The trauma in this book was a bit much. Now that I've started the series I'm too invested into leaving now. I hope it gets better. That darn girl Leah makes me want to do more than shake her. Please say she's not in all the books to the series. I hope Indy and YaYa figure it out.

Reviewed: 11-21-24
In the first book the author stated there would be a book for each family member. Please say there's more to come. The Compton/St. Thomas families are amazing. I love how from the parents down to every child they ride for one another. The wives fit each husband to a T. I can't wait to see where her imagination takes us next.

I listen to a lot of books on this app and this has to be one of the best. From how they met, to the courtship, to the love making, to bringing their families into the fold, etc... I just felt like from the jump they were just super ssupportive of one another and it showed all the way until the end. 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
I definitely have to give this book a 9.5 only because I wish I could have heard it with Winston reading all the male parts and Wesleigh reading all the female parts. Although Wesleigh does her darn thang on these books.

I just love their story. The both had their own situations that could've ended them, but they stood 10 toes down for one another. Only change I would add is the male narrator to read slightly faster. At times it made the story feel to be dragging. Other than that Wesleigh Siobhan is one of my favorite female narrators.

Story
That's how blogger, Bianca Bailey begins the first post of what's supposed to be a new series on her website, in response to her readers curiosity about her feelings on love. That post never makes it to the public eye, but those three words perfectly sum up Bianca's outlook, and rule the way she interacts with the men around her — including Rashad. Rashad isn't interested in anything serious either, but for a different reason. Rashad loves women, and women love him, but he's avoiding trouble — the nickname his father uses for the kind of woman that makes you forget all others exist.

I truly enjoyed this story of Bianca and Shad. I felt bad for her not being able to live in love until the very end. I love how in this series they allow the men to do the men roles and women to do women. It makes for a better listen.
OH!!! And who is this Sharif Stephens? This man's voice can read to me any day. Wesleigh is definitely a favorite of mine. I can't wait to see who does Book 3.

The narrations on books 1 & 3 were good. Book 2 man and woman did nothing for me. Very dry and didn't bring the book to life for me. Although Ebo and Sim story was my favorite of all three books. Now Lennox and Elle were a riot. I laughed alot with this book. Now give us a bonus book to end all three brothers life stories.
