Slow

I couldn't get past the first few chapters because of the detailed autopsy descriptions. I don't have a weak stomach but the level of disgusting autopsy information made me nauseous. Definitely don't listen while you're cooking or eating.

Not sure who the author is
Reviewed: 10-30-23
This was an extremely slow, boring story. The narration was terrible. I kept waiting for it to get better but it never did. I have no idea who wrote it but it wasn't Danielle Steel. If it was it was not her normal standard of writing.

Angsty much?
Reviewed: 10-05-22
I just couldn't finish this book. I pushed through to chapter 10 hoping it would get past the sad, angsty 15 year old wrote this vibe but it just kept getting worse. The author seems confused about the difference between a ranch and a farm. Also, she forgot to water or feed the horses for over 10 days while they were locked in their stalls with no one caring for them and their only problem was packed hooves? GTF out with this stupid book.

Suicide? Maybe, except the detectives learn the wife's fingerprints are nowhere on the hose. She appears to reach from the grave and point an accusing finger at her husband. And there's another twist: The senator's million-dollar lawyer is involved in a deadly conspiracy against Lettie.

This is the weirdest second book I've ever listened to or read. It's like the author had a brain injury and forgot what he wrote in book one. I couldn't even finish it because it was so stupid.
