Loved listening to what it was like to work at 60 Minutes. Soooo glad I opted out of journalusm as a career. mean, disgusting behavior by Mike Wallace and others...all of the men who pushed women out with their harrassment.

I loved trying to figure ot both the diagnosis and the famous person who suffered through his or her illness. I found the history behind medical discoveries as well as the symptoms associated with them fascinating as well. I feel much more informed about medical conditions as a result, which may come in handy in my future.

I really enjoyed guessing whose medical case was being profiled and guessing what the diagnisis might be using the clues given. I liked the biographical and medical history woven into each story as well. I hope the author keeps writing AND READING books like this!!

I really enjoyed learning about the history of treating mental illness through a personalized account how and why lobotomies were performed, and how individual doctors can influence medicine for good or for bad. I love all of the American Scandal dramatizations!

I loved learning about how medical advances occurred through the personal stories of doctors and patients. It gave me more appreciation for what both faced before discoveries were made to ease suffering and mortality rates, and gave me a sense of what it was like to live during each era covered. The historical context about what caused medical ailments over time was also captivating.

The personal stories made learning about different ways our brains work enlightening and fascinating. I found myself comparing how my own experiences, cognitive abilities and reactions compared to those described in these stories, and appreciated learning why we humans are so different from one another.

These stories illustrate the immediate and lasting effect of 9/11 on American society from a personal, ideological and political perspective. I wish it would be shared in all households and school rooms so that we could have the dialogues necessary to create the society that we can all cherish and hold dear.

I loved learning about the story behind the Vietnam Memorial. Maya Lin deserves a much more renown place in our classroom history books! The host reads in a way tjat engages me, and the sound effects and personal perspective of its various "actors" bring the story to life!

I love this man for his moral, caring, team-oriented and thoughtful leadership. His message about how he made decisions and how political leaders and our democracy works--and doesn't work--should be required readinv for all high school students. We need his style of leadership!!

Learning about how language in general--and English in particular--changes is interesting to me in and of itself. Learning from John McWhorter has me laughing full-heartedly and often on my long walks, making me look forward to them. I can credit his Great Courses, books and podcasts with helping me get in shape. His teaching style entertains and, as such, makes his lessons memorable, too!!!
