I’ve loved Patrick Stewart since I saw him on Star Trek the Next Generation. This book offered a great insight into his personal challenges, relationships, and motivations…

Great biography of Salmon P. Chase. Governor of Ohio, Senator, Treasury Secretary, and Supreme Court Justice. A man ahead of his time on slavery and women’s rights.

Great narration by Timothy Andres Pabon.

Some of the stories about pioneering vascular surgery were very inspiring. I loved the story of “the young men from Ohio” that two of the surgeons worked on for hours who made it home with all four of his limbs due to the new surgical techniques that they were trying out.

My first experience listening to a Victor Methos book. Excellent story and narration. The narrator Timothy Andres Pabon really inhabits the soul of each character.

I love the movie. This awesome “sequel” is too expansive to fit into a 2 hour movie. It reads to me like 3 seasons of a Netflix or Amazon series. I hope that’s what Michael Mann has in mind for this because it’s a great story! The narrator was great and really had Pacino’s voice down perfect!

Heck yeah! Fare thee well. So much pain and strife in the years following Jerry’s life. But those 4 guys overcame everything for 3 awesome nights at soldier field. What they lost they shall regain! My friend and I will see Dead and Company this summer. The story of the Dead is not over!!!

Wow! This book really puts you there in the middle. Selvin places the “responsibility, if not the blame” on the Stones for the fiasco. He doesn’t exonerate the Hells Angels for their violence as much as he sees them as archetypes playing out their roles in an impossible situation (sorry but I still think they were thugs). The concert was hastily planned with literally no one in charge. I listened to the entire book twice just to make sure I could keep all of the people straight. I hope this becomes a TV miniseries. Not kidding.
