Story
Arthur lives with his father, a fallen but proud former noble, in Border Village #49, along with the other good folks condemned to toil in service to the Baron. But Arthur has an edge: a stolen heart card that secretly fell into his possession, thanks to a dragon. It’s a priceless source of power for the Baron and the tyrant will kill to get it back. Invaluable, too, to a young man of spellcasting ambitions.

I loved the book, saw it on sale in recent cash sale, saw a couple of reviews recently and picked it up. To my luck, it was a coming of age story and hit all the notes for me to love... could not put it down

Joe’s candidacy was successful beyond his wildest dreams. Between driving the elves out of dwarven sovereign territory, utterly destroying an army of thousands, and using resources he could have used for himself to bring back the fallen on his own side...his reputation begins to precede him once more. The human was so successful that many people even within the dwarven faction have decided that they need to step forward to stop him. Realizing that he’s been in the public eye too long, Joe decides that it’s time to step out of fighting the war.

Waited so long for this book
Reviewed: 08-09-22
Found out it was enjoyable, was hoping for more town building, character development, and character growth. It was mostly a romp through through all of the above with no character planning. One event leading to the next, I was frustrated with the plot a many points but it was fun enough to continue.

This is a good entry level work for an author, Will have improved so much since these works. This is not cradle but if you read that you will enjoy enjoy this book. The story is fun and love the concepts within. This was my entry to knowing about Will Wight and so happy that it was re-recorded with Travis Baldree. If you enjoyed cradle you should pick this series up and give it a listen, it is not as polished but it is as fun but it gives you perspective on how the author has grown

Shocked
Reviewed: 12-03-21
I bought this book mostly based on overwhelming positive reviews but found this a boring monotone book. There was a few interesting part but most of the book was exciting as reading a text book. There really not much of an ARC in this book, more of a slice of life plot. The main character was given everything, trained better and had little or no effort in everything he did. Everything in the book felt two dimensional.
In my rating system the lowest rating I give a book that I finished is a three, Meh..

If you reading this your a dumb monkey. Cute but how many monkey jokes can you hear. They are more a form of endearment at this point but it needs to mix it up a little.

Story
The ancient magic of wizards was anything but dark. It was the enlightenment that lifted humanity from the squalor of superstition, and the worship of fell spirits and capricious gods, but those days are gone. The shining glory of the sorcerers burned away the subtlety of wisdom, replacing it with easy power, held only in the hands of the elite - a new age built upon the elemental supremacy of aristocrats and the ignorance of the masses.

Story
A thousand-year-old cultivator, Drew, is about to ascend to a higher existence. As he begins the process, he finds out he has pissed off one too many demigods. Though he manages to fight off the concerted effort of sect elders and patriarchs...he is slapped away from the higher realms by something. After an instant or an eternity, he awakens on a lower realm! The air is filled with garbage energy, and his emotions of all things are allowing him to control it. For a cultivator that has spent his existence absolutely controlling his thoughts...that won’t do at all.

It was a fun book but did not expect the humor in the book. There were points of the book that I laughed. This is a very odd book it is gets into the technical side of cultivation but does so in a funny way.

Story
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Bilda FOH Smartown has the biggest civilization in Avila. He brings in billions in ad revenue. Everything is branded. For instance, you can partake of a foamy ale in the Troll and Tourniquet pub - sponsored by Texatron Auto-air, the cheapest deals on the best air cars - or pull the lever at the High Summer Hangings - courtesy of Blue Bird Neon. Perhaps you’d like to sponsor a battle and ride with the fiercest centaurs, or hire a bard and seduce a princess. Everything and anything has a price tag in Bilda’s empire. Revenue is king, and coincidently, so is Bilda.

Plot: Mix Trading Places movie with Strategy city building and RPG gaming. I like many LitRPG and this is an interesting take. I enjoyed the town building and most of plot but the combat system was interesting at first but got tiring quickly. I liked the book and like Jack Voraces as a narrator. I would give this book a thumbs up if your looking for a different take on LitRPG.
