Well done Barbra! Well done!
Reviewed: 10-25-24
I loved that Barbra delivered the book like she was telling a story rather than just reading it out loud. Her honesty and passion for what drives her is outstanding. She covered pretty much all of her 82 years with the background story to so many of the events that made her such a phenomenal singer, actress, entertainer and the wonderful person that she is. Well done Barbra! Well done!

Story
From his rapid-fire stand-up comedy riffs to his breakout role in Mork & Mindy and his Academy Award-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams was a singularly innovative and beloved entertainer. He often came across as a man possessed, holding forth on culture and politics while mixing in personal revelations - all with mercurial, tongue-twisting intensity as he inhabited and shed one character after another with lightning speed. But as Dave Itzkoff shows in this revelatory biography, Williams’ comic brilliance masked a deep well of conflicting emotions and self-doubt.

The collection of interviews and epitaph’s are amazing, including imitating or injecting clips of Robin’s stories. Such a powerful story I never knew about the Lewy body disease until now.

Biography of Redford’s personal and business transactions.

While there is a good deal of Redford’s personal experience and motivations the book boils down to ~70% business transactions and ~30% personal accounts. Still good information but would love to hear more perspectives from Redford himself.

It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

I first found a few of your paperbacks my deceased mother’s bookshelf in 2002. Between them and the library I caught up on the Decker/Lazarus series and have waited excitedly for each new book to be released. Thank you for all the years of enjoyment and learning so much about the Jewish culture.
I’ll mourn the end of your journey with this story so I hope you continue to bring new adventures to Peter and Rina’s lives.
