The Man on the Mountaintop tells the story of Holy Man Joe, an ageing and unassuming man who lives in a hermitage on top of a mountain. During the summer months, thousands of hopefuls line the path leading to his door, seeking his wisdom. This is a hot book with a fun plot. I enjoyed listening to it and trying to figure out what would happen next. The sex scenes left me in full blush with a smile on my face, and that's a good thing! The ending just plain sucks. It is literally in the middle of the book. Nothing has been sewn up, not even a stitch, and the book just ends! With, I might add, creepy music. What a let down. I try not to select books that are part of a series and not written/recorded. I would wait to get this until the others are out. It leaves you hanging and let down. The book is awesome, we just need the other ones, and the editor chose a poor breaking point.
