Story
Taking place during the most critical period of our nation’s birth, The First Conspiracy tells a remarkable and previously untold piece of American history that not only reveals George Washington’s character, but also illuminates the origins of America’s counterintelligence movement that led to the modern day CIA. In 1776, an elite group of soldiers were handpicked to serve as George Washington’s bodyguards. Washington trusted them; relied on them. But unbeknownst to Washington, some of them were part of a treasonous plan.

Great Historical Read!
Reviewed: 02-15-19
I loved this book. It was well written and narrated. Unlike some books on history, it read like a story and was very entertaining. They organized the book so it wasn't just facts bein hurled at the reader/ listener. I definitely recommend this book to any American history junkie, like myself.

Not a Bad Story
Reviewed: 11-05-16
This book takes on print versus online in the world on fashion magazines. The story is a good listen, but the narrator shouts a great deal, but that is because the story dialogue consists of the characters screaming frequently. So, don't beat up on the narrator - she's performing the story as it was written. I've listened to Katherine Kellgren narrate other books and she does a fabulous job. In fact she is one of my favorites.

Story
The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.
