Horrible Narration
Reviewed: 04-29-24
Love the story and most of the narration is fine, but whoever does the narration for the Parisa character is awful. It is a nasal sound that tries too hard to be sexy - resulting in a sound that makes me want to skip ahead to the next chapter. Which I did several times. I would never purchase a book narrated by her alone.

Story
They've escaped the Breeders, yet their journey has just begun. Riley and Clay are once again on the run from the Breeders. The group may have escaped the deranged experiments at the hospital, but as one of the world's last free women, Riley can never be safe. On the road back home, Riley and her crew are captured by a band of savage men. Their destination: the Citadel, run by a bizarre religious prophet named the Messiah. Somehow he knows their secrets. He wants them to join his group of Believers, but only if they'll drink the baptismal water and swear allegiance.

Terrible narrator

Couldn’t stomach it past 30 minutes of the narrator’s voice. It was obviously a forced effort and not done well.

Story
It's been over a century since the humans lost the war for Earth. Cities have been reclaimed by nature, and the planet is quiet and empty by day. At night, feral vampires - more beast than man - roam the lands, hungry for blood. The few thousand surviving humans live on a massive airship that circles the Earth, moving with the rotation of the planet so it's always in sunlight.

Terrible lead character
Reviewed: 01-30-23
The main character Alex is very unlikeable and it ruins the whole storyline. It’s hard to cheer for a character who gets away with every selfish thing she does
