Happy Ending

Refreshing, finally a book where the leading characters are on top for once.
The narrator at the end, ugh.. well after you invest like 4 hours into the book you want to know what happens so you just have to deal with him and the pauses, and sounding like he has something in his mouth.
Story line good, and it is believable, like this could happen... It's is included in the membership fee so go for it.

Waiting to Exhale

White Lines series not-
It was good book don't get me wrong. It kind of reminds me of Waiting to Exhale if you are all remember that movie, but the ghetto side(mean that in a good way). It has modern day problems and it show how Black Women can come together and lift each other up and be friends while dealing with men, kids and bills!
If there was a part 2 would I buy.. yeah cause I like Tracy Brown overall work - I just would want her to throw in a friend that doesn't have their sh*t together.. and see how that work outs...
Happy reading or listening shall I say.

There was so many little stories within the so call main story that it hard to keep up... like if you read the review it has nothing to do with nothing in my opinion. Like the author just rammable on and gave details on things that was not needed and I agree with another reviewer, glad that I did not waste a credit on this nonsense. Listen if you have 6 hours of your life to waste, I listen while I was work, time is something you can't get back so at least I was making money while listening.. lol

If you looking for the Coldest Winter ever 1st book vibe, this won't give it to you. The writing is good you can tell Sister Souljah has evolve however that is not what I wanted to see. I wanted to see Winter hitting the streets, doing ruthless stuff, getting her father girlfriend that kept the money, going to see him, maybe finally getting Midnight.
Any who, Nia Long was decent but the book was long and drawn out. Not worth the credit but supporting black authors she can keep the money but I was so disappointed.

1st off I can't believe it took me to the end of the 2nd book to realized that Bleu and Iman are the same from Ethic and Butterfly - I am sadden at the end of this book it lead to believe that she turn in this well rounded woman with so much going on then you read her character in those book and she back to the weak mined woman again. At one point I don't remember in what book it was but it lead to believe that Messiah thought she would get high again. I love Ashley's books.. I too wish that they did not kill everyone that you fall in love with like why kill Noah... WHY? Anyway I also feel like they need to re-read what they write as well sometime... Like before a new book come out from a series I re-read the last one just to make sure I on point about what is going on. I think they forget how some of these characters lives have revolved.

The narrator is not right for this story AT all! It like a urban story with our light skin cousins (SMH) Then they used a male narrator that was kinda of corny. However, they used the same narrators for 1 & 2 so you after awhile you get kinda of used to the voices.
The story is decent for a urban fiction book, it kinda of drag on some points and just want to skip over that but if you skip then you gonna miss something ...
The story lines of the characters are interesting enough that you want to know what happen to them and wish them good ending. So all in all the books are worth the credits.
