Story
Oz Gallagher does not do relationships well. Bored and jobless after another disastrous hook up, he decides to leave London for a temporary job in the wilds of Cornwall. Surely managing a stately home on a country estate will be easier than navigating the detritus of his relationships at home. Six months there will alleviate a bit of his wanderlust and then he can come back to London as footloose and fancy free as the day he left it. However, when he gets there, he finds a house in danger of crumbling to the ground and a man who is completely unlike anyone he’s ever met.

I fell in love with the setting
Reviewed: 05-08-20
Oz is full of Lily trademark humor and endearing characters. In this book, we have power twink, Oz, the little Irish spitfire and Silas, the Earl of Ashworth, with the Cornwall as the backdrop. I mean, nothing is better than a beautiful scenery to set the mood.
From their first meeting, I can feel the chemistry between Oz and Silas. Their mutual admiration and the desire to make each other happy is what make them so perfect together. I was swooned over by the way Silas tried to court Oz like a total gentleman, but also surprised to see him being a total beast in the sack.
There was a minor drama towards the end when Oz insecurities rear its ugly head, but overall minimum angst involved. There was a scene or two when Silas talk about what he want in his life, such simply things, but difficult to attain. Suffice to say, I shed some tears listening to his confession and whenever Oz vow to make him happy, I just want to bawl. These two really make my heart all mushy. The epilogue is freaking sweet and like Oz, I totally fell in love with Cornwall. I hope the rest of the series will be base on the same location.
Joel Leslie's performance in here is absolutely perfect. Love his British accent and his ability is make each and every character sounds distinguished.

I can't get enough of Will & Patrick
Reviewed: 08-11-19
After listening to Episode 1-3, I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series. As stated previously, I actually read the ebooks first and I absolutely adore the series. The narration is fantastic and John Solo really gave the extra dimension to the characters that I love. If you are fan of the series, this audio should not be miss and if you are new to the series, just dive in!
In Episode 4, things getting dirtier and kinkier and also heavier. I can't believe they went all BDSM on each other. But it was definitely welcome. I like their kinky fun vibe, which is not too intense. Things are definitely heating up between the sheets for these two.
We also get to learn of Patrick's deepest darkest secret. It was sad, but nothing too hard to swallow. As per the title, they are fighting their feelings for each other. I guess, I better do a full sum after I finish the series. Things get a bit blurred for me and I'm not sure what happens in which installment.
Episode 5: Oh, daddy mobster finally make his appearance in here. Since the beginning, we know about Will's mob connection, but never actually seen anything concrete beside the possible spy creeping around. Tony Molinaro is here now and he is not quite what I'm expecting.
Patrick got more than what he bargained for when he is facing possible lawsuit and threats from his dearest father-in-law. Coupled with all his new found feelings for Will, he is questioning his own sanity. Honestly, waiting for Patrick to just confess his love is keeping me on the edge of my seat. Can't he just get over it already!
Episode 6: Will and Patrick is a couple that I grow to love as the series progress. In this #6, I think all the self-inflicted misery is kind of a downer (Thank God we have #7 to make up for it). Patrick finally confessed his feelings after a long procrastination, and surprisingly Will reciprocate as well. But Will is doubting everything, due to his own addiction (he's now wondering is he having sex addition too. Thanks Owen) and doubting Patrick's commitment. So there is some painful moments that we have to deal with, but we know they gonna pull their head out their a**es sooner or later. The good point is we finally get to meet Patrick's foster family and they both a great couple. Will have some groveling to do, and I'm glad at least we have some hot make up sex.

Fun loving NA romance

Book 4 of the series gave us baseball player, Max and theater geek, Phoenix. Max is in the closet, although I won't say 'deep in the closet'. He didn't acknowledge his sexuality, but he is not doing the whole hiding himself or trying to act like a macho straight dude. His best friend, Christian is gay and he doesn't seem to mind that he is seen around campus hanging out with Phoenix.
Phoenix had a slew of lousy relationship and decided to have a fling with Max, since they are both so attracted to each other and had nothing in common. Perfect!
There isn't much drama and conflict in this short read, but I find myself enjoying the relationship development between Max and Phoenix. They are just so cute and adorable together. I love Max blunt nature and the way they care for each other. Even with the reappearance of Max's recent ex, Sky, it didn't dampened the pleasant mood of the book. Overall, such a sweet and adorb read and you can't go wrong with Michael Pauley. I love the sweet innocent voice of Phoenix!

I actually wish I have more down time to listen to this faster. Joel Leslie is crazy talented and have the ability to make such distinct difference voice for all the characters.

Two long years of insults, and having to redo the coffee pot four times in the mornings to meet his exacting standards. Not surprisingly he has devoted a lot of time to increasingly inventive ways to murder Gabe. From stabbing him with a cake fork, to garrotting him with his expensive tie, Dylan has thought of everything. However, a chance encounter opens his eyes to the attraction that has always lain between them, concealed by the layers of antipathy.

I love this romantic comedy
Reviewed: 06-07-19
I read a few drunken marriage in Vegas story, but this is my first for a m/m romance, so I'm pretty intrigued. Patrick is a neurosurgeon, an obnoxious, rude and undeniably sexy man. Oh, how I fantasize tapping his mouth, sp@nking him and tied him up. He makes me wanted to hit him and smoother him with the nearest pillow. On the other hand, Will is a ball of nerves and a total mess.
After their drunken mishap that lead to marriage, they both wanted to get an instant divorce, but due to Will's circumstances he can't divorce. I thought the whole mafia background was pretty wicked. However, Will's being a total love sick fool towards his despicable ex is a bit tiresome. I hope Patrick will sort him out soon.
In Episode 2, Patrick have to meet Will's dysfunctional family and try to settle down in the Podunk town. Patrick is as infuriating as ever and I love him. Will one the other hand is such a poor thing, in fact he is a total doormat. Whenever his beloved ex, Ryan showed up, I just turned murderous. If this is really a mafia story, I would want someone to just settle him. What the fuck is wrong with the guy? I can't imagine Will spent so many years with that jerk of the century.
Anyway, despite all my hatred for the ex, he is absolutely a great fodder for this series. I just can't wait for Will to realize that Patrick is much more awesome that his ex. As for Will and Patrick's relationship progression, things are moving slow. But they are getting to know each other better and some sexual tension is definitely present.
Episode 3: This might just turned into one of my favorite series. Will and Patrick is definitely worming their ways into my heart. Will finally manage to get Patrick to open up about his past and we get a little glimpse into his childhood. In fact, I'm bracing myself for more to come. It seems like Patrick is hiding a closet full of skeleton.
Marriage life seems agreeable to Will and Patrick and they settle down to a comfortable routine. The closer they got, the harder it is to fight the feelings. Well mostly, lustful feelings. But I think I can the see light at the end of the tunnel already. We are due for some sexy times!
I actually read the ebook first and I absolutely adore this series. After I listened to it, I can say I love it even more. The narration is fantastic and I can wait to listen to the rest.

Heartfelt romance between two lost individuals
Reviewed: 05-16-19
Falling Down is quite a heartfelt romance between two lost individuals, pretty low in drama except for some sensitive thoughts. I love the style of the narrator, which sounds pretty mellow throughout, which really suit the tone of the story.
Josh is a homeless young guy. Just turned 18 with no one and nowhere to go. He had a very close relationship with his mum and thus decided to head to Hampshire, the place she long to go, but didn't manage to. Josh is a very pessimist guy, understandably due to his childhood situation.
We usually see homeless people around, they seems so inconsequential, like their are just the background among the busy metropolitan. But the author really makes me see homeless people in a new light.
Mark is in his mid twenties, just finished 4 years as a Marine. Although is not a pleasant experience for him, the story didn't delved much into his psych. But Mark is as aimless as Josh. Still in the closet and refuse to stay close with his own family. He can't even make a concrete future plan for himself.
Mark came upon Josh when he found out Josh was a homeless kid sleeping under the bridge near his cabin. His inner kindness can't ignore Josh that obviously need a helping hand. Mark took it upon himself to invite Josh into his cabin, offering food, a job and friendship.
The romance development is slow burn, with Mark not wanting to take advantage and Josh too unfeeling and couldn't care less about the world around him. But once the trigger happened, it development quite fast into an easy companionship.
After the half way mark, things seems to mellow out, the pacing was slow down a little. But it was still quite enjoyable, with their little engagement with old Mrs Fischer and the sudden appearance of Mark's family. The story pick up again near the ending with Josh's reaction towards Mark's attitude.
All in all, a pretty decent and heartfelt read about a lonely guy who finally found someone to live for. I couldn't be happier for Josh.

A lighthearted and endearing dogshifter romance
Reviewed: 02-08-19
As someone who have three dogs, I really enjoy the dog-shifter world in Mad Creed. They are a tight nit pack with their easy going and friendly demeanor. Well, most of them are man's best friend, except for Sheriff Lance. He took his job too seriously and paranoid of the new comer, Tim. He even go as far as to undercover as a dog to gain access to Tim's home.
Tim is such a poor soul. He is broke, alone and being harassed and bullied by his previous employer. He is shy and awkward and superbly adorable. His situation tuck at all my heart strings, especially when he unburden himself on his new dog, who we know is actually Lance. The situation does provide plenty of funny moments for me to laugh about.
While in his dog form, Lance start developing an attachment with Tim at his most vulnerable moment. I don't know how Lance is going to come clean about his deceive, but is enough to keep me awaiting the priceless moment when Tim will eventually either gotten angry or freak the fuck out. The make up sex is gonna be worth it, right?
This is a story with a fast moving plot with plenty of great supporting characters, especially Lance's meddling mum. Overall, is a romantic comedy that will make you smile big and laugh. The steam factor towards the end is very satisfying too.
I really like the narration, especially for Lance. He sounds firm and mature without sounding like a robot. Tim sounds like he is constantly doing the shy-laugh thing, but it does suit his personality. There was a scene when Lance's shift into his dog form, I thought the narrator did a great job in the howling!!
