There is ZERO depth and I believe the narrator is at fault. Audiobooks are given life by the narrator and this one has no life and clearly no desire to tell this story. This has the potential to be an awesome story; however, you guys struck out with this narrator and I can’t get past chapter 1. I want my money back. Additionally, if English colloquialisms are going to be used, an English narrator would’ve suited.

Jet Malakai only reads 3-5 words at a time and puts the inflections totally in the wrong spots. Matter of fact, the narration almost made me. Or finish this series. It took 3Weeks for me to get through it and if the story wasn’t so interesting, I’d have left it alone.

The previous narrator made the story easier to follow. While I like Claudia’s English accent, I really do not like hearing the same voice for all the characters. Being able to give life to each individual character is truly an art.

Her pauses are also a touch too long. Just a touch, but too long all the same.

Although I really enjoyed all of the Anita Blake novels thus far, The Harlequin was seriously my favorite. The story development as well as direct correlation to the title.

I found there to be too many details that had no bearing on the storyline. Also, Rebecca Rainsford’s voice grated on my nerves and some of her inflections threw off the story. Too bad she’s narrating the entire saga. 😔

I was really looking forward to this series, but like Stephanie Rose’s performance Ruined this series. After being disappointed by the narration in the Alpha Billionaire Trilogy, I was excited that they got the narrators right for the Scandals of The Bad Boy Billionaire series. Finally got to this series and I couldn’t get through chapter 1. Total disappointment.

While the stories held my attention with the non-Barbie type women, the performance was absolutely atrocious. The 2nd person narrations were unnatural in volume and inflection. The female 1st person narration was excessively throaty and came across as trying too hard to be sultry.

While I dislike the adultery, I can totally identify with Olivia being in a marriage deemed as safe. Married to a man who isn’t willing to fight for the relationship. The idea of a man who knows what he wants and is passionate about the way he pursues her. At first, I thought David was out of pocket, but half way through book two, I found myself rooting for him. Looking forward to book three.
