This was an incredible book! Not only was the original P&P in discussion, but the Pakistani culture was on full display, and the reader was immersed into this world and the characters. It was a non-stop listen for me, and definitely a new favorite book and listen! The narrator is excellent to boot!

Andrew McCarthy’s walk with his son is full of introspection, honest reflection, the daily realities of life with people (chosen or otherwise)—all set at a quick pace through Spain. All characters, whether main stories or brief appearances, are richly multi-dimensional. All I can say is: thank you for this book. I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.

I’ve listened to this book three times, taking something nee from it wvery time. It’s not high literature but it is excellent writing and a completely exhilarating story that pulls you into Violet and Xaden’s world. Cannot wait to see (hear!) what happens next!!! Come on, November 7!!!

These characters were delightful, flawed, insecure, and had the ability to grow and learn. The interesting situation which brought them together and the way the leads tried (and failed) were realistic and the ending oh so satisfying. Brava, KC!!

Great and interesting stories! The history of the illness and how it was treated (and how treatment was developed!) was just as interesting as the person revealed!

This is my second Terry Pratchett and I was again wildly entertained. Death as Substitute Santa? Check. An assassin after Santa? A lot of people pulled into the whirlwind? Check.

The story was excellent, though perhaps predictable at times, with interesting glimpses into different careers, generous discussions of deeper topics (no spoilers) without feeling flippant. The story has good dialogue and many different characters, with enough insight into each to feel fleshed out- the main character is especially relatable. Philippa Soo’s narration is perfection. I’d listen again!
