What made the experience of listening to Star Wars: The Old Republic: Deceived the most enjoyable?

This is the fourth book I own where Marc Thompson narrates the story and once again he didn't disappoint me. This man could read a phone book to me and I still would find it enjoyable.

Aside from that it's nice to see some more backstory on Malgus, as at least of the beginning of SW:TOR he's one of the main villains. It's nice to see his motivation for doing what he does and also how he deals with things. It was nice to see a more fleshed out Sith character.

What did you like best about this story?

The story about Z-man and why he does what he does. Between Jedi and Sith fighting it's nice to someone without the Force being awesome as well.

Which scene was your favorite?

There was this very touching scene when Z-man and Aryn say their goodbyes.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that Malgus had to make an ultimate decision was very well written. Also a scene where Z-man had to do something that would stick with him for the rest of his life. You could feel the characters emotions.

Any additional comments?

Even though the characters are good on their own the story does get kind of boring and aside from Malgus I don't find the Sith very interesting.

What did you love best about Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan?

Obviously, Revan. As a fan of the KoTOR game I loved hearing more about him and what happened after the events of the game. This book fills that spot and gives some sort of closure.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan?

The part where for the first time Revan shows up with his old mask and just shows everyone why he is one of the most powerful Jedi that ever existed.

What does Marc Thompson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The excellent voices naturally. He makes everyone so distinct it is hard to believe he is doing this on his own. Canderous and Skourge are especially pleasant to listen too.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The ending...got a big Darth Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Any additional comments?

If you are a fan of KoTOR, a fan of SWTOR or just a fan of SW you really need to get this book.

What did you like best about Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance? What did you like least?

Best thing was the performance of Marc Thompson. Story wise though...Larin and Jet Nebula were fun characters and it was nice to see Satele in action to see that she isn't the Grandmaster of the Jedi order without reason. Other characters were kind of bland and not enjoyable.

You are supposed to feel something for Ula but I found his character to be very boring and not believable. At the end were supposed to hope that he and another character get together but he hasn't changed much from where he started so why would you want that?

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

There should have been a moment where Ula made a choice, regardless of any consequences. But he never has too and in the end he didn't learn anything.

Backstories of Jet Nebula and Dao Stryver could have been worked out somewhere. The epilogue vaguely hints at some stuff but...not nearly enough.

What about Marc Thompson’s performance did you like?

Great voices for everyone. His female voices are so natural I am not even aware that a man is doing them.

Did Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance inspire you to do anything?

Play Star Wars the Old Republic MMO I guess, it is nice to visit places like Hutta after you heard some more of it then just what the game shows you.

Any additional comments?

Jet Nebula is an interesting character, I wouldn't mind reading more about him. Shigar is a very uninteresting Jedi...and his struggles with the light/dark side didn't feel genuine.

Would you consider the audio edition of Kenobi to be better than the print version?

I don't own the print version so I honestly wouldn't know.

What did you like best about this story?

The best parts were the parts with Ben in it. He's the reason people would buy this book and I was kind of disappointed that after the first chapter it took quite a long time until we saw him again.

What does Jonathan Davis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His Obi-wan impression is spot on. His other voices were good too. I was bit worried that after Marc Thompson I would not be impressed by other voice actors but I was not disappointed.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were some funny lines in the book and parts that made me a bit teary eyed. Extreme reactions no...

Any additional comments?

For a book called Kenobi he isn't in it that much. The other characters are interesting of in their own rights but well, I have a fever...and the only prescription is more Kenobi.

Would you consider the audio edition of Annihilation to be better than the print version?

I wouldn't know as I haven't read the print version. If I will ever get the print version I will have the voices of Marc Thompson in my head when reading.

What did you like best about this story?

The best part for me was how Theron and Gnost-Dural worked so well together with their respective talents, their characters worked great off each other and you could feel the mutual respect and trust they had for each other.

What about Marc Thompson’s performance did you like?

What's not to like. This man is talented. He gives everyone a distinctive voice and I especially like the way he portrays female characters. It's incredible how natural they sound. I'd loved one part where Gnost-Dural pretends to be a Sith lord and he goes even lower with his voice, especially with the music it felt like Darth Vader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, this is a definitely a book I could sit through in one sitting. I have listened to it three times now and it doesn't get boring. It also gives you a chance to pay more attention to other small things.

Any additional comments?

There is one bug where a small part of the book is repeated (like three sentences or so). Also, the villain wasn't that interesting. But I guess that's personal preference.
