About this listen

There’s something out there: A juggernaut of evil bearing down to crush the Republic - unless one lone Jedi, shunned and reviled, can stop it.

Revan: Hero, traitor, conqueror, villain, savior. A Jedi who left Coruscant to defeat Mandalorians - and returned a disciple of the dark side, bent on destroying the Republic. The Jedi Council gave Revan his life back, but the price of redemption was high. His memories have been erased. All that’s left are nightmares - and deep, abiding fear.

What exactly happened beyond the Outer Rim? Revan can’t quite remember, yet can’t entirely forget. Somehow he stumbled across a terrible secret that threatens the very existence of the Republic. With no idea what it is, or how to stop it, Revan may very well fail, for he’s never faced a more powerful and diabolic enemy. But only death can stop him from trying.

Wow what a way to break into star wars books.

I got this book because I loved the game back in the day. Let me just say it was fantastic. You dont need to have played the game to understand anything like some other reviewers have said, but it does make you care for the characters a bit more if you had. Unlike other audio books I've listened to this one has all your favorite sound effects and music from the star wars universe, immersing you just that much more into the story. If your a fan of the game or even just want a good read I highly recommend this audio book.

Worth the credit unlike other SW books

This story kept me interested throughout the entire novel. Good performance by the narrator, even the female voices didn’t sound too creepy. This audiobook covers the story of Revan after his return from the dark side.

Great story perfect connecting tissue

Great story that incorporates both Knights of the old republic 1 and knights of the old republic Sith Lords. This story fills in the story bits in between both games and post game. Respectful story that honors the backstory of both Revan and the exile. Couldn't ask for a better story to end both characters storylines. I appreciate how well they handled Revan' character and legacy. Glad to see they treated my favorite Star Wars character so well.

Best Star Wars Story Ever Read

From the beginning to end this was a roller coaster of a ride that I enjoyed. This is exactly what Star Wars is all about. Several characters that you should care about, a story with a purpose, a hero you could relate to and villain you want to see destroyed. Mr. Marc Thompson did an expert job reading the story, excellently described each character with his own spin on their voice. I absolutely loved the story. My only sadness is that we will probably never see this played out in an actual film. Imagine Anthony Hopkins as the Emperor. Vin Diesel as Lord Scourge. And Keanu Reeves as Revan...thank you for this story.

good not great

I read the Darth bane series before this one and those books were amazing. I enjoyed this book but it wasn't on par with the bane series. less action than I anticipated and the reader didn't have as good of voices as the reader for the bane series.
