Story
In The Collapse, the government stops working, guns and ammo are in high demand, and a trip to the gas station has become a mission rather than an errand. Grant and the Team see these warning signs and know it is only the beginning, so they begin taking action to protect themselves and their loved ones. As they prepare to get out of dodge after a deadly incident in Grant's neighborhood, they will soon learn whether the preparations they made in Book One will be enough to survive the breakdown of society.

Different from many society ends stories.

slower than many stories like this I've read , but ultimately I believe more believable. I appreciate how the main character has used time and resources at his disposal to prepare. While these characters do have firearms I haven't seen that aspect take as big an aspect as many stories. I believe much as Boston t party and Saxon did; a . 22, a pistol, a shotgun, a carbine, and a rifle should be all a prepper needs till other requirements are met. I am recommending to my kids and possibly new peppers.

Story
A tale beloved by many fans of Robert A. Heinlein, Podkayne of Mars tells the story of a young Marswoman and her interplanetary adventures with her uncle and her genius brother. Told largely through Podkayne's diaries, the story details her travel to Earth with her two companions. Podkayne has definite plans on what to do and how to do it, but not everything is as it seems. She is suddenly thrust into the middle of life-or-death situations when the liner they are traveling on makes a stop at Venus.

Give it time and listen till the end

I was becoming bored but slightly amused at how this story had sucked me in with a teen girls prattling account of her first adventure. I understood what and why the writer had done to me at the huge reveal near the end of the story. One of my adult daughters had listened to much of the story with me and I will insist she listen to the last chapter. The narration of the story is excellent and I hope all enjoy as much as I did.

Story
There are a lot of monsters in Anita Blake's life. And some of them are human. One such individual is the man she calls Edward, a bounty hunter who specializes in the preternatural. He calls her to help him hunt down the greatest evil she has ever encountered - something that kills and maims and vanishes into the night. Something Anita will have to face alone.

I adore her.

Anita in this book is wonderfully powerful and still parallels regular life despite the fantasy setting. Hamilton outdid herself this time with the detail and research. Loved. It.

The Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter backlist lights up the night. In her eighth adventure, Anita Blake can't turn her back on a former lover during the full moon. Especially since he's behind bars - and he's a werewolf.

Loved it. Love that finally Anita and her polycule are figuring themselves and each other out. Especially the clarity at the last chapter.
