Story
Rachel Goldman writes mysteries in which Duffy Madison, consultant to the county prosecutor's office, helps find missing persons. Rachel is busy working on her next book when a man calls out of the blue asking for help in a missing person case. The caller's name? Duffy Madison. Is this real, or has she lost her mind? She doesn't have much time to find out, because a serial killer is on the loose, kidnapping and murdering mystery authors. And Rachel may just be the next target.

Great characters, good plot and wonderful narration. Highly recommend this book, very entertaining. If I had it in physical format, it would have been a real page turner!

Outstanding narrator!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Shattered to be better than the print version?
The book is awesome, but what really makes it stand out is the incredible narrator!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Owen O'kennedy - So funny!
What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Let me put it like this. I heard the first book, tried to read the second book because it was free at the library, but loved Luke Daniels narration so much that I just purchased all the audio books in the Iron Druid series, and gave up reading them as it just wasn't the same. Now I'm looking for other books narrated by him, because he is awesome at making the characters come alive and he delivers consistently with voices for the different characters. I'm a voice professional myself and I'm just in awe of Luke Daniels talent!!

The voice acting was distracting
Reviewed: 06-14-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It is an okay book. Entertaining, but the storyline is probably best for teens if you look away from the fact that it has some quite sexual content.
What didn’t you like about Katie Schorr’s performance?
The lady has a great voice and reads really well. I just didn't like that the voices of different characters were being acted, especially the way she acted the male characters, it distracted me from the story every time.
