Convincing explanation of U.S. decline since 1930s

Dr. Sowell did excellent work here explaining how the vision of the American "political left", and its progressive implementation starting during Franklin Roosevelt's administration, has steadily made the U.S. a less resilient country and its citizens more dependent on the government. I found Dr. Sowell's point about how some important Supreme Court decisions undermined the will of the voting public by "legislating from the bench" to be particularly interesting and important. This is a very relevant discussion for understanding U.S. politics today in the 2020s and I highly recommend it.

Tucker and his research team did a great job detailing many instances of incompetence, arrogance, and hypocrisy of many modern politicians and political movements. Readers who assume that Tucker is a rabid "right-winger" will be pleasantly surprised how often and sincerely he commends efforts by 20th century ""Liberals" for their efforts in the areas of environmental preservation, workers wages, and the civil rights movement. Thanks for writing this Mr. Carlson.

I enjoyed this book. Gilder presents a novel (to me) explanation of the conditions that facilitate innovation and technological development. It gave me a new perspective that I suspect will enhance my own entrepreneurial activities. I recommend it.

I think this is a terrific book. It distills an important cultural problem of our time, explains its origins, and gives advice about how to solve it. The authors have my thanks for their work and courage in writing it. And well-done on the narration Mr. Haidt.

I enjoyed Write. Publish. Repeat. It was informative, entertaining, and the narrator was very good. The book primarily focuses on fiction writing (I'm a non-fiction author), but the authors don't ignore non-fiction writers; I found sufficient helpful information and suggestions for my work to rate it as highly as I did. The authors are funny, witty, honest, and likeable guys, while also being good, thoughtful writers. I recommend this book if you're thinking about self-publishing.
