Story
Summer is over, and Dad begins his important position at an Indiana hospital. Like it or not, Bloomington is the Baxter Family’s new home. As school starts, everyone finds reasons to be excited about the move. Everyone, that is, except Ashley. Ashley desperately misses the home and friends she left behind. As she realizes her siblings have their struggles, too, she can’t help but wonder if unlikely friends can be the best friends of all? And could time and love from her family be enough to make a house feel like home?

Story
Brooke is the perfect older sister. For that reason, Kari and Ashley work hard to make their parents just as proud of them as they are of Brooke. Each girl has her own talents. Brooke is an excellent student. Kari is a great soccer player. Ashley, a talented artist. And they are always there for each other. But when the news comes that Dr. Baxter is moving the family from Ann Arbor to Bloomington, Indiana, and the Baxters need to leave the only home and friends they’ve ever known, no one is happy.

I recommend this book and all Karen Kingsbury’s books. This one is so fun and cool filling in all the history of the early years of the Baxter family. It was nice seeing their personalities start developing at such a young age. It is definitely just like your own families stories of life start out. I can’t say anything negative about it. I really enjoyed it. Shelley

Eye opener, a must read!

I first of all loved this story, because so often we turn a blind eye to the ugly things that are happening around us or we just don’t believe it’s really going on, after all what deranged human would lure children to a lions den to be devoured?
This book not only had much information on the possibility of a sex trafficking ring going on in your own home town but how to watch for it so to report it. I loved the love story behind it and how beautiful God works in every life story we live here on earth and how even though we don’t always understand why things happen at the time they happen God does and in the end it all comes together for those who love Him. I loved it and highly recommend it and read it all right through to the closing last page of credits. Karen you have a beautiful gift from our God thank you for sharing it with the world may God continue to bless you and your family and friends and co workers and finely your readers.
