About this listen

The number one New York Times best-selling author and “inspirational fiction superstar” (Publishers Weekly) presents this high stakes love story of danger, passion, and faith.

She was a child caught in a riptide in the Caribbean Sea. He was a teenager from the East Coast on vacation with his family. He dove in to save her, and that single terrifying moment changed both of their lives forever.

Ten years later Jack Ryder is a daring undercover agent with the FBI and Eliza Lawrence still lives on that pristine island. She’s an untainted princess in a kingdom of darkness and evil, on the brink of a forced marriage with a dangerous neighboring drug lord, a marriage arranged by her father. This time when Jack and Eliza meet, there’s a connection neither of them can explain. Both of their lives are on the line, and once again, the stakes are deadly high.

Can they join forces in a complicated and dangerous mission, pretending to have a breathtaking love…without really falling? Sometimes miracles happen not once, but twice…along a distant shore.

Great!

Once again, loved it! Sad topic, but good story. Loved that Karen carried the relationship through to a wedding instead of stopping short.

This book…is absolutely breathtaking!

I love just how moving this book was with using the words of god and showing new life to two souls that were lost. Absolutely one of my favorite books. Karen Kingsbury never disappoints and her books always tug on my heartstrings.

Great Book

Loved this book and couldn’t put it down. There is such a need to join in and put a stop to human trafficking. Thank you for writing this book. Best part was is my dad’s name was listed in the back.

An Amazing Story

This was hard for me to listen to. The topic is so scary but is real. Karen did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life and ending it in such a beautiful way.

First book with this author

I picked this book only bc it was narrated by January LaVoy. As always, she delivered an awesome read. Her attention to details and voice changes made this book worth listening too. However, the male narrator was choppy and seemed to have a period after every word he read. His words did not flow well at all. BC if his narration, I couldn’t wait until the book was over! This was a book frequently recited with biblical scriptural readings and faith.
