I had to stop listening
Reviewed: 12-17-20
I just couldn’t keep listening to this. It is filled with nonstop chatter and so little actual character development. I felt like the author just researched how the police investigate then wrote up lines for the characters to say. It was so boring. I actually forgot whether the sister was alive or dead at the half way point.

Story
When you think of Wisconsin crimes, Ed Gein and Jeffrey Dahmer automatically come to mind. But in this richly wooded state with its long, cold winters and isolated towns, murder can happen anywhere. From the "Sweetheart Murders" to sexual predators to cannibalistic serial killers, Wisconsin's criminal history is full of surprises.

It says it’s about Ed Gein but it’s not except for the first chapter???? Waste of a credit. I’m not impressed

Story
The day Adam Dunne's girlfriend, Sarah, fails to return from a Barcelona business trip, his perfect life begins to fall apart. Days later, the arrival of her passport and a note that reads "I'm sorry - S" sets off real alarm bells. He vows to do whatever it takes to find her. Adam is puzzled when he connects Sarah to a cruise ship called the Celebrate - and to a woman, Estelle, who disappeared from the same ship in eerily similar circumstances almost exactly a year before. To get answers, Adam must confront some difficult truths.

What I’m the world?

Ok. I listened pretty much non stop to this. So it did grab me. But that ending? And why was the story about the French family even included. I was expecting that everything would come together. It did not and I’m confused. Very confused.

Story
Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty, stretching back to her Irish immigrant great-grandfather. At nine, she was already a star - yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide-and-seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared. Some may have considered her a pampered princess, but Cate was in fact a smart, scrappy fighter, and she managed to escape her abductors. Callan Cooper was shocked to find the bloodied, exhausted girl huddled in his house.

This book has to be for teenagers. The narration was almost impossible to listen to because it was so fake sounding. And the plot? Totally juvenile and unrealistic. Complete waste of my monthly credit.
