I truly enjoyed listening to this book. The writer of this book leaves so many things on edge but results them within the next chapter or two. I love the anticipation of what's to come and how vividly the reader makes everything I cannot wait for the next book to come out in November already pre-ordered.

Book by its cover!

The first thing you do when you see at a book is judge it by its cover, I did just that. Not knowing anything about the Arthur almost closed my mind to the possibility. although is book is a fictional noval, this book helped me understand how your mind can take you to the most beautiful places. When you open you mind. Take a chance!

Story
Why exactly Charley Bordelon's late father left her eight hundred sprawling acres of sugarcane land in rural Louisiana is as mysterious as it was generous. Recognizing this as a chance to start over, Charley and her 11-year-old daughter, Micah, say good-bye to Los Angeles. They arrive just in time for growing season but no amount of planning can prepare Charley for a Louisiana that's mired in the past: as her judgmental but big-hearted grandmother tells her, cane farming is always going to be a white man's business.
