Story
Years ago, the magnificent dragon queen Tintaglia forged a bargain with the inhabitants of the treacherous Rain Wilds. In exchange for her protection against enemy invaders, the humans promised to protect an unhatched brood of dragons. But when the dragons emerged as weak and misshapen hatchlings unable to fend for themselves, dragonkind seemed doomed to extinction. When even Tintaglia deserted the crippled young dragons, the Rain Wilders abandoned the burden of caring for the destructive and ravenous creatures.

and for a change not a bad ending like Robin Hobb
loved the characters development , loved that every one of them gets a share in the story
I really like the fact that for a change the people are the lesser participants

Story
Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....
It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

Samantha Young became my favorite listen
she knows how to build the characters to make you love them
she know how to write sex scene, and she knows how to finish a book and not dragging it endlessly

Story
The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

a lot of hot sex not much story

I loved the first 2 crossfire, the story was good, the sub character were intresting Eva and Gideon were great the tension was fabulous and the sex hot…
In the third book which I waited for so long for all of the above were missing or more accurate the sex took most of the story – I like sex scene in a story but it should be part of the story not all the story and I think in this book the writer intended to make us wait for th forth book to conclude so all the story was very thin
Jil was great she got all the character and I could imagine them just by her words

I had to write a review
Reviewed: 12-16-12
This is not my usual type of book, I love SCI and Fantasy but after reading something heavy I need time to digest so I usually re-read books or reading romance.
I had this book at home for a few months and I it was called so I started reading it in bad, after about two chapters I got up and download the audiobook.
I usually clean while reading my house is sparkling after this weekend I had such a good time – I laugh out loud a few times and everyone in home look at me like I lost it.
It was great reading.
Emma is normal girl with a few issues – she have a panic attacked and she spilled them all out to a stranger.
Then she realizes she will have to work for a week with this stranger – knowing all her secret…
