Story
For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

I am so impressed by this book and the work of Paul Holes. If every cop cared as much as him, the world would be a very different place! He cared about the victims and was persistent in solving this case. I hope he can relax in his retirement now because he so deserves it!

Story
When 11-year-old James Renner fell in love with Amy Mihaljevic, the missing girl seen on posters all over his neighborhood, it was the beginning of a lifelong obsession with true crime. That obsession led James to a successful career as an investigative journalist. It also gave him PTSD. In 2011 James began researching the strange disappearance of Maura Murray, a UMass student who went missing after wrecking her car in rural New Hampshire in 2004.

I heard about Renner through the new tv show about Maura Murray (which by the way, he should be the main character in but whatever) and it was an amazing read! I listened to it and it only took me a couple days to finish. I loved how the book wasn't just about Maura but about Renner's personal life! It makes it all so relatable. I also think his Wife is a saint and needs a monthly massage lol for dealing with her Husband's obsession with crime:) she seems really wonderful! And I hope things are going great with your Son! Thank you for sharing your experiences! Now I will be looking for any other Renner books on Audible......:)

I am a stay at home Mother of 4 boys and I love listening to books on Audible because I can listen while I care for them and clean up after them:) so thank you for having this book on Audible! I also love reality tv so that's where I first saw Yolanda. I know that no one is perfect but you are a beautiful person! I remember the first season, when we didn't know you were sick and you would pick lemons and wear those belts with the h and all white and you were such a good wife and Mom! I'm sorry that your story got so distorted by the other women and you were judged because of their ignorance. This book was a great description of all you've been through and I'm so glad you wrote it! I hope the other women did as well. The last hour about Ellie was so beautiful that I cried. You are so lucky to have had a friendship that strong! It's hard for us women to find other women who lift us up instead of bring us down. I am leaving this book feeling so inspired and educated, I'll be looking for you in all your other ventures throughout life! You deserve the absolute best!! Thank you for being you!!!

This book was soooooo boring! Her first book was incredible! This book was her giving lame advice and then she threw in a couple stories she already told in the first book. BAD BAD BAD. Bad structure, bad story... it was just all bad. Heartbroken. Hope her next one is like the first except about her current situation, not the one when she was 16.

Story
From a young age, Andy Cohen knew two things: He was gay, and he loved television. Now presiding over Bravo's reality-TV empire, he started out as an overly talkative pop-culture obsessive, devoted to Charlie's Angels and All My Children—and to his mother, who received daily letters from him while he was at summer camp, usually reminding her to tape the soaps. In retrospect, it's hard to believe that everyone didn't know that Andy was gay; still, he remained in the closet until college. Finally out, he embarked on making a career out of his passion for television.
