Audie Award Nominee, Narration by the Author or Authors, 2013

The man behind the Real Housewives writes about his lifelong love affair with pop culture that brought him from the suburbs of St. Louis to his own television show.

From a young age, Andy Cohen knew two things: He was gay, and he loved television. Now presiding over Bravo's reality-TV empire, he started out as an overly talkative pop-culture obsessive, devoted to Charlie's Angels and All My Children - and to his mother, who received daily letters from him while he was at summer camp, usually reminding her to tape the soaps. In retrospect, it's hard to believe that everyone didn't know that Andy was gay; still, he remained in the closet until college. Finally out, he embarked on making a career out of his passion for television. The journey begins with Andy interviewing his all-time idol Susan Lucci for his college newspaper and ends with him in a job where he has a hand in creating today's celebrity icons. In the witty, no-holds-barred style of his show Watch What Happens: Live, Cohen tells tales of absurd network-news mishaps, hilarious encounters with the heroines of his youth, and the real stories behind the Real Housewives.

Dishy, funny, and full of heart, Most Talkative provides a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the world of television, from a fan who grew up watching the screen and is now inside the TV, both making shows and hosting his own.

Must have for any fan of ANDY!

If you love Cohen's show on Bravo then you'll love this book. That same fun loving personality comes across when he reads. Some part of his story can get too drawn out but for the most part he is very entertaining. Maybe a funny notch below but if you like Tina Fey's Bossypants you will enjoy this book. I thought it was funnier than any of Chelsea Handler's books. Everyone is different so I suggest you listen to the sample, it's pretty indicative of the rest of the feel of the book.

A "must listen!"

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I did recommend this to a friend! He loved it too. We both watch Bravo and we both enjoyed Andy Cohen's narration.

What did you like best about this story?

So much insider information and "behind the scenes" anecdotes.

What about Andy Cohen’s performance did you like?

Humorous reading. Feels like a friend telling you stories. Audiobook listeners even get some extras.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

SPOILER ALERT
Yes, when Andy decided to come out to his friends. The letter he wrote was very touching.

Any additional comments?

Loved this audiobook! Andy Cohen's performance makes this a "must listen" rather than a "must read."
The letters from camp were hysterical!

I love Andy

Would you listen to Most Talkative again? Why?

I listened to this on a cross country trip and it was as if Andy and his hairbrush microphone were riding shotgun the whole way. Loved the stories and loved his exuberance. But Andy, here's what, next time can you kick in some gas money.

Cohen uncensored & sensational

I loved the stories--all connected in an amalgamation of LOL moments from Cohen at his funniest, disarmingly charming self.

It's a good one! I would recommend to any Bravo fan! I have watched the Real Housewives since the beginning and have never missed and episode. It was great to hear some of the behind the scenes stories. I was especially surprised to learn how Andy knew Leah Black from Miami Housewives...
