Story
Peter Schweizer explains how a new corruption has taken hold, involving larger sums of money than ever before. Stuffing tens of thousands of dollars into a freezer has morphed into multibillion-dollar equity deals done in the dark corners of the world. President Donald Trump’s children have made front pages for their dicey transactions. However, the media has barely looked into questionable deals made by those close to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Mitch McConnell, and lesser-known politicians who have been in the game longer.

Tom is a legend even among other Tier One special operators. Yet the enemy that cost him three marriages, and ruined his health physically and psychologically, existed in his brain. Told through Satterly's firsthand experiences, it also weaves in the reasons for his career-long battle against the most insidious enemy of all: post-traumatic stress.

What do I need to say to compel you to listen to this?
Reviewed: 11-19-23
I originally heard Tom’s story on the Shawn Ryan Show podcast, it was enough to intrigue me to listen to the book.
The book does not disappoint, it’s informative and gripping, and I love that it’s narrated by the author with amazing attention to detail given the circumstances the book is based on.
The story of a real world, badass and American hero, both in the service to his country, which mostly doesn’t even comprehend the sacrifice, and now his continuing service to our nation’s veteran community - which is embarrassingly sorely needed, because the bureaucrats who throw our young men and women into the meat grinder of their political whims mostly don’t care about who they hurt in the process.
Thank you Tom, thank you Jen! Thank you for your service, four everything it took to share your story, and for the inspiration that we all sorely need.

Story
Anyone who observes the skyrocketing number of incendiary political opinion shows on television and radio might conclude that political vitriol on the airwaves is fueled by the increasingly partisan American political system. But in The Outrage Industry Jeffrey M. Berry and Sarah Sobieraj show how the proliferation of outrage says more about regulatory, technological, and cultural changes, than it does about our political inclinations.

Great topic about outrage behavior, which has gotten far more outrageous since this book was written.
I’m guessing the changes are dramatic enough to flip the camp of ‘which’ Parties political activists have become the most outrageous, and all that implies.
