My least favorite of the series

The story fell flat — stripped of spark, leaving only the weight of disappointment. No true development of the 3 separate story lines.

Returning from an extended leave, Detective Tracy Crosswhite finds herself reassigned to the Seattle PD’s cold case unit. For me, so far, this is the best Tracy Crosswhite series.

This series had twists I never saw coming, and I really appreciated the deeper dive into Tracy’s psychological vulnerability—it added so much depth to her character. And what she did to her captain? I absolutely loved it!

Good story, predictable. Well narrated.

The character was strong, even though her family past was shadowed with tremendous pain. The narration brought the story to life.

Predictable and slow

The narration was childish-like. The storyline was quite obvious. There were a lot of dead moments that lead to no real progress in the storyline.

I really loved this book. I came close to tears a few times and was able to identify with character personalities that made me smile. I am now a Brian Freeman advocate. I enjoy the way he tells stories. I enjoy the suspense and I enjoy that I am usually wrong with my deductions. Keep writing!

Wonderful inspiring story. The only issue that I had was with the changing of each disc. It should’ve flowed seamlessly without the narration “end of disc 1...”
