Highly enjoyable book, great narration

I’ve read Dark Horse and now Alibi Man, both great entertaining stories with perfect narration. I think Beth McDonald is perfect to voice Elena Estes. I appreciated there wasn’t any romance like some of her other books. I’m just here for the murder and violence thank you very much. Overall nice suspense and the perfect amount of detail for a book like this.

Story
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Excellent book

It’s been many years since my last King novel, maybe over 20 years. I found the details and interviews in the beginning to be a bit tedious but figured there was good reason for them. The details helped create a visual picture of the town as well as getting to know the people. In the end, I found I loved listening to the details and found the suspense was building slowly but surely. I couldn’t stop listening and for days I have had this book in my ears, fully immersed in this world King so adeptly created.
The narrator, Will Patton was excellent. Great actor, great reader as well.

Story
Master of suspense James Patterson continues the Women's Murder Club series with this nail-biter of a sequel to 1st to Die. Four women - a police detective, an assistant D.A., a journalist, and a medical examiner - combine their efforts, risking everything, to catch a serial killer. "As with Patterson's best novels," Booklist says, "the surprises keep coming until the final pages."

Terrible Audible

The only thing worse than than the main narrator Melissa Leo was Jeremy Piven. Flat, boring and flaccid delivery. Quite disappointing.
