As someone who is studying IFS, this topic was very attractive to me. But it didn't take long before I started to realize that nothing was being said. Was this created by AI? I felt like my time was being disrespected and that I was being duped. I researched the author of this title in order to find what his IFS experience and credentials were, and it seems he doesn't have any. To Audible: you need to protect users from "books" like these, because it is hard to know what is going on while listening; for example I was wondering if it was AI generated nonsense or if I was crazy. I am certain it's the former.

A great book about owning your shadow and understanding your subconscious. One of those books that I want to recommend to everyone I know. Kudos to the author!

I wasn't sure God was communicating so well in the end. You might say s/he was getting pretty wacky and fringe with the Atlantis stuff and the aliens. but this really is a must read. I was worried it was too long... but it just flew by.

This wasn't about San Pedro. Not really. It is more about the author's opinions and world view and how his personal journey (with the help of San Pedro) left him so enlightened. I kept imagining this book as a impenetrable wall of words; and mind you it is the kind of spiritual book that I should have loved, that I consume voraciously.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. I am already recommending it. Like the author, I am sympathetic to alternative cures and curious about the power of the mind to heal, but also like the author I believe that you can strive to understand things from a scientific perspective if you ask the right questions (and are open to things that you don't understand). I found this book gripping from beginning to end.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narrator did a great job except for one important thing: her rendition of the American accent was quite jarring, I have to say. She did a great job with just about every other accent (German, Irish, Eastern European, etc.), but whenever she did Americans, which was quite often, it made me cringe, and distracted from what was being said. I would have preferred if she did the whole thing in her lovely English accent instead.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

This book will appeal to people who believe in alternative healing methods and those who see themselves as primarily scientific and evidence based. If you, like me, somehow see yourself belonging to both, it is a delight.

Any additional comments?

This book reads like a post in a tech blog (and I don't mean in a good way). It's 'recommendations' consist of using various apps and web services, such as Evernote, Feedly, IFTTT, and various browser and email extensions. "To become more productive", it seems to be saying, "you need to add even more clutter into you're life by installing and using these two dozen productivity apps".

If you're looking for a really good book on the subject of doing less while simultaneously being happier and more productive, check out "Autopilot: the art and science of doing nothing" by Andrew Smart.
