Story
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

Gave it 5 minutes before i had enough. Sound is horrible with a low hum in the background, noises from the room and the narrator smacking her lips.

Story
Martin and his friends discovered that their world is computer generated and that by altering the code they could alter reality. They traveled back in time to Medieval England to live as wizards. Almost everything they've done since then has, in one way or another, blown up in their faces. So of course they decide to make dragons. It does not go well.

Not as good as the other books
Reviewed: 05-17-17
I felt this book wasn't really that exiting. I loved the previous books. It was no real danger to handle in this story, mostly al they did was "clean up" a big misstake. It had some moment's but I was mostly just waiting for the book to end.

Story
The world has changed. The mercantile kingdom of Charis has prevailed over the alliance designed to exterminate it. Armed with a multitude of small technological improvements - better sailing vessels, better guns, better devices of all sorts - Charis faced the combined navies of the rest of the world at Darcos Sound and Armageddon Reef, and broke them.

The story is slow

I thought and hoped the timeline would have progressed much further at this point. We are still at the beginning and at this pace the alien threat will not be relevant until book 50. I was hoping for a scifi but got a fantasy / history book.

Story
Rosemary Harper doesn't expect much when she joins the crew of the aging Wayfarer. While the patched-up ship has seen better days, it offers her a bed, a chance to explore the far-off corners of the galaxy, and, most importantly, some distance from her past. An introspective young woman, she's never met anyone remotely like the ship's diverse crew, including Sissix, the exotic reptilian pilot; chatty engineers Kizzy and Jenks, who keep the ship running; and Ashby, their noble captain.

Felt a bit shallow.

I probably had my hopes a bit high and was expecting something on pair with Ready player one. I thought I would get humor and silly fun from this book. It's a a strange setting with strange aliens on a strange workrelated mission. I can't help feel they could have done more with the story. I didn't laugh, didn't find it very thrilling. But I must give some credit to the narrator who did a great job.

I did like the premise for this book but I didn't get what I was hoping for..
I didn't like the characters. They were petty and selfish or dumb and naive. The book is pretty much a politic and corporate intrigue in a futuristic setting. They were such extremes to the personalities I had a hard time identifying with anyone. The Dreans could have been so cool, but they were mostly boring.
If I hadn't goten the book on sale i would have return it.

Melanie is a very special girl. Dr. Caldwell calls her "our little genius". Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh. Melanie loves school. She loves learning about spelling and sums and the world outside the classroom and the children's cells. She tells her favorite teacher all the things she'll do when she grows up.

This is well worth the listen. Great narrator. A story that keeps you hooked and are a bit different than most other "zombie" books.
