Story
SOON TO BE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE Inspired by the history of the Danes and their Jewish neighbors who worked together to defy the Reich, Miracle Across the Sound is a story of bravery, love, and true freedom. It is September 1943, and Jews are still free in German-occupied Denmark. But that is about to change. Jewish college student Fleming Lund and his Lutheran former fiancée, Liesel Prestur, have not spoken since they ended their engagement. When Leisel witnesses the Gestapo hauling her Jewish neighbors from their home in the middle of the night, she sneaks off to warn the Lunds. ...

I could not stop listening to this book

This book was wonderful and so interesting that I would take longer walks and bike rides just to listen to more. That narration was great. The reader makes it or destroys the book and this one was perfect. Loved, loved the story.

Story
Lina Meisel, a retired librarian in Florida, is reading the newspaper one morning when she freezes. Her eyes lock on a photograph of a book she hasn’t seen in 65 years - a book she recognizes as The Book of Lost Names. The accompanying article discusses the looting of libraries by the Nazis across Europe during World War II - an experience Lina remembers well - and the search to reunite people with the texts stolen from them so long ago. The book in the photograph is one of the most fascinating cases.
