BEST SERIES EVER!!

I thought I loved her other books, but nothing compares to the beautiful world building that Sarah J Mass masterfully crafted into Throne of Glass. I love this series so much that I bought physical copies of every book so I can reread my favorite parts. I couldn’t stop reading this book; it captured my heart and wouldn’t let go. I’d strongly recommend this series to anyone who appreciates a true masterpiece of stories and wonder. I hope they make a show out of this!!

The Reaper is a legend, more myth than man: the savior of worlds, the leader of the Rising, the breaker of chains. But the Reaper is also Darrow, born of the red soil of Mars: a husband, a father, a friend. The worlds once needed the Reaper. But now they need Darrow. Because after the dark age will come a new age: of light, of victory, of hope.

This is by far my favorite book series of all time. Pierce Brown continues to impress me with his consistently impressive character development, epic plot twists, enthralling fight scenes and beautifully written dialogues/monologues. I eagerly await the last book and would absolutely love to see this as a show or movie b/c I think there is no better story than this amazing tale.

Confusing Ending
Reviewed: 02-23-23
As much as I loved the first sandman book, the last book ended very unclearly. How and why did the main character die? Hearing all the short stories and then to have that dropped in randomly made no sense. The overall performance was amazing as always but I was very disappointed with the ending.

This series has become by far my favorite of all time. Better than any other book series I’ve ever read. It combines so many things that I love and gives it so much more. If only they would make it into a TV show. It’s surpasses Star Wars, Game of Thrones, the hunger games putting all of those great pieces together into one incredibly spectacular series that I have devoured over the last few months. Pierce Brown is by far my absolute favorite author of all time and I’d love to one day meet him and hear about his inspiration for my favorite books and to autograph them. If you haven’t yet read this series, you are absolutely missing out

Story
There is a voice of longing inside each woman. We strive so mightily to be good: good partners, daughters, mothers, employees, and friends. We hope all this striving will make us feel alive. Instead, it leaves us feeling weary, stuck, overwhelmed, and underwhelmed. We look at our lives and wonder: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? We quickly silence that question, telling ourselves to be grateful, hiding our discontent—even from ourselves.

This book was so insightful and inspiring. I loved it so much that I’ve re-read multiple chapters. It’s helped me to learn how to love myself and trust myself rather than doubting or questioning my truest and most beautiful self. I hope one day I’ll be able to find the kind of happiness that Glennon Doyle has found.

A bag of chips. That's all 16-year-old Rashad is looking for at the corner bodega. What he finds instead is a fist-happy cop, Paul Galluzzo, who mistakes Rashad for a shoplifter, mistakes Rashad's pleadings that he's stolen nothing for belligerence, mistakes Rashad's resistance to leave the bodega as resisting arrest, mistakes Rashad's every flinch at every punch the cop throws as further resistance and refusal to STAY STILL as ordered.
