Story
After the arrival of the multiversal monopoly BuyMort, life got brutal. All systems were through BuyMort. All currency was through BuyMort. All sales were through BuyMort. You could resist, you could compete, but it didn’t really matter because in the end you used BuyMort—or you perished. BuyMort be praised. But not everyone’s happy with the new system. Some, even, want to see it destroyed. It’s quick. It’s convenient. And it will help people kill you and your family as readily as it will help them sell you knickknacks for a quick mortie.

its well written but instead of magical powers they have magical capitalism. which, granted seems to be the point, but I kept waiting for someone to level up even seeing early on that despite the trappings it's not that genre.

Story
From New York Times best-selling author Mira Grant comes a vision of a decade in the future, where humanity thrives in the absence of sickness and disease. We owe our good health to a humble parasite—a genetically engineered tapeworm developed by the pioneering SymboGen Corporation. When implanted, the Intestinal Bodyguard worm protects us from illness, boosts our immune system—even secretes designer drugs. It's been successful beyond the scientists' wildest dreams. Now, years on, almost every human being has a SymboGen tapeworm living within them.

the story overall was good, interesting and engaging story but after around the half way point there were just so many sudden villian turns that it brought me out of the story each time. why is this character being so unreasonable? because we need Sal to react...

Story
Felix Castor is a freelance exorcist, and London is his stomping ground. It may seem like a good ghostbuster can charge what he likes and enjoy a hell of a lifestyle, but there's a risk: sooner or later he's going to take on a spirit that's too strong for him. When Castor accepts a seemingly simple ghost-hunting case at a museum in the shadowy heart of London, what should have been a perfectly straightforward exorcism is rapidly turning into the Who Can Kill Castor First Show, with demons and ghosts all keen to claim the big prize.

it's in the same vein as The Dresden Files or the Nightside books, though a bit darker than most of those. Not far from a Constantine story.

Paxton never thought he’d be working for Cloud, the giant tech company that’s eaten much of the American economy. Much less that he’d be moving into one of the company’s sprawling live-work facilities. But compared to what’s left outside, Cloud’s bland chainstore life of gleaming entertainment halls, open-plan offices, and vast warehouses...well, it doesn’t seem so bad. It’s more than anyone else is offering.

Full body shivers at the end. It's uncanny. The way my boyfriend kept talking about it I thought it was non-fiction, I was pleasantly surprised. It's frankly ironic that this is being shared through an Amazon company platform because they're the one my boyfriend kept likening it to. He wasn't wrong.
I think I've heard these voice actors before, they're dang good. I'm pretty sure about the female voice actor at least, but I'll have to do some digging. polished the whole thing off in 2 days at 1.5x speed, it was too good to unplug.

Story
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Wonderfully written, good voice acting, neat story, cool interaction with other period themes like the Ferris Wheel and Eifel Tower, but I was hoping it would go more into the discoveries and it was just a little short for my taste. It was free so I didn't really know what I was getting when I clicked it. Beautifully told though. I really did appreciate how much it made an icon feel like just another girl with the struggles of her generation, and it was a cute little window into the past.
If you want to write another that delves more into her schooling, friendship, family and scientific discoveries I would definately pay to read that. Your writing style was wonderful I'm just itching to hear more.!!!

Do you like comics? I think you're going to like this.
Reviewed: 03-02-18
To use oversimplified common references, it was like a Marvel origin story to the Power Rangers or something, or Heroes, the TV series, turned into a comic book and then into a novel. It was a very neat story about how an underground group of heroes works together to keep the big villain group from squishing too many people. I haven't read anything like it before. Super neat concept!
