I will preface this in saying that i generally try to find the positive in many of the audio books I consume. If I don't like a book I do my best to be objective and understand that the content may be of value to someone else. That said, I cannot see how this book delivers anything of value.

The pitch "Marc Guss’s advice is impeccable; he says the things no one else in show business will, things that those who want into the business need to know. He has a heck of a story to tell. It is powerful, outspoken talk from a widely recognized agent on how to master the industry using an entrepreneur’s specific skill set."

What Marc relays in the book at best is incredibly base-level suggestions, to the point that much of this is common sense and applies to almost ANY industry, role or career. The word "Entrepreneurial" is forced into so many sentences that it feels like a buzzword and that its inclusion is simply for SEO purposes to rank higher on a Google search. He tries to attribute suggestions and rationale to a "Entrepreneurial mindset" or as key characteristics of an Entrepreneur when in reality nothing about those claims is exclusive to being an Entrepreneur...it just feels so out of place and so forced. The sad reality is that this last paragraph uses the term Entrepreneur less frequently than most chapters in this book.

I kept listening waiting for the book to get better and it never did. Even if you can learn one thing from an entire book it can be beneficial but I struggle to see where any of the information in this book would help the reader/listener "master the industry using an entrepreneur’s specific skill set."

I am not trying to dogpile here but Marc repeatedly mentions Voice Over as segment of the industry he specialized in. The irony here being that the narration of this book is very subpar. Often times it sounds as though he is reading a script he has just seen for the first time. The pacing and intonation is repeatedly off, to the point of being distracting. While there are parts where he tries to add emotion to a passage, it just comes across as flat, almost as if he read the sentence and only saw the exclamation point at the end.

This honestly seems like a quick side-project to write a book so that the author can add "Published Author" to their Linkedin profile while simultaneously promoting their own agency throughout the book. The seemingly glowing reviews of this book are somewhat suspect. At the time I am writing this it currently enjoys a 98% 5-star rating, with the remaining 2% being 4-star reviews, nothing lower, at least until this review is posted. If I were a conspiracy-theorist I would imagine that many of Marc's clients were suggested to write a review.

This was free on audible and I still feel ripped off.

Narration was disingenuous and the author came off as sounding pandering with fake enthusiasm. much of the advice while not wrong seemed overly optimistic in its efficacy. I think parts of the book can be helpful however listening to the narrator/author became increasingly more difficult as the book wore on

Where to begin? The narration is horrendous. The narrator's speech is broken. He says...a few words..at a time with....awkward...pauses in between making this painful to listen to.

The information is so incredibly basic, and not in a helpful "beginners guide" sort of way. Huge useless assumptions are made and suggestions are comical. It basically breaks down into "Make really good content and people will like it" "Ask large influencers to promote your website for free". This advice is laughable.

The information is so transparently out of date. When I heard "make sure to use an email address tied to your domain name and not a Hotmail or AOL email account" I literally had to rewind to make sure I heard it correctly. Referencing Hotmail and AOL as if they are the most prevalent option in 2020 is a true spotlight on how out of touch this book and these authors are with current social media trends. When I then heard the narrator reference the listener being a "webmaster" I was holding my breath just waiting for the book to reference the World Wide Web .

The first 10 minutes of the book is the narrator reading a lengthy legal disclaimer followed by READING THE TABLE OF CONTENTS.

This book is a total waste of time and money. It has the feel of a book written 10 years ago with the most minimal effort to update three sentences so that they could rehash it as the '2020 version'

Thank you to Audible for their wonderful return policy, this book is getting returned ASAP

RC Bray's performance is great, that goes without saying. Honestly his narration can usually save a mediocre book. Craig's writing has been fantastic in the past and the writing itself in this book isnt bad, its just so redundant. I understand the mentality that every action has a consequence, the law of unforseen consequences etc etc, however in this book more than the previous in the series it just seemed to be a drawn out random-event-generator plot. I dont want to say more and spoil anything.

I will buy the next book, I know I will, I just really hope the story gets back on track. I hate to say this but I am worried this will turn out like the Arisen Series. I loved that series at the beginning but then it just seemed to turn into filler to feed the cash cow as the series went on.

The entire series has been incredible! The combination of Gayou's writing and RC Bray's gift for narration make for a perfect harmony!

I have consumed countless SEAL books over the years as well as many of the ones focusing on the UBL raid. This book is more of a history lesson into the factors that helped to shape UBL and ultimately the events of 9/11. The vocal performance is superb and kept me listening through some of the repetitious sections. The coverage of the actual Raid... what the entire book is focused on in theory, is the largest let down of the entire book. Since aspects are still classified and I obviously wasn't a part of the Raid, I cannot say this account is definitively wrong... However the accounts in this book largely differ from all other published accounts so strongly as to render the material suspect. No two accounts have agreed 100%, but this book is far off the accounts of the others combined and in both what actions occurred, in what order they occurred and so on. It cast a pall over the rest of the book.

That said I have read Chuck's other book, Warrior Soul which he narrated himself and that book was fantastic and his narration was very good. I would recommend that boom over this, hands down.
