Story
Five years ago, 14-year-old Max Wheeler disappeared from Priest's Island, an isolated but bleakly beautiful place on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. In the close-knit local community, there are no secrets - except what happened to Max. None of the police or private investigations since have shed any light on what happened the night he went missing, presumed dead. But there is one man who is yet to take on the case: The Sea Detective.

Story
In the spring of 2020, Lara’s three daughters return to the family's orchard in Northern Michigan. While picking cherries, they beg their mother to tell them the story of Peter Duke, a famous actor with whom she shared both a stage and a romance years before at a theater company called Tom Lake. As Lara recalls the past, her daughters examine their own lives and relationship with their mother, and are forced to reconsider the world and everything they thought they knew.

Story
Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Demon Copperhead is bar none, my favorite Barbara Kingsolver novel to date!
Heartbreaking, heartwarming, and filled with humor.
An insight and beautiful descriptive look into the opioid crisis in The Appalachia’s.
And of course, a fantastic retelling f, David Copperfield.

Story
You are a failed novelist about to turn 50. A wedding invitation arrives in the mail: Your boyfriend of the past nine years is engaged to someone else. You can't say yes - it would be too awkward - and you can't say no - it would look like defeat. On your desk are a series of invitations to half-baked literary events around the world. Question: How do you arrange to skip town? Answer: You accept them all.

It took 85 pages for me to finally appreciate the character of Arthur Less. And although I ver much enjoy Mr. Greer’s writing, I just couldn’t quite connect until Arthur arrived in Germany. And then I could hardly put down the book.
And I understood why this it one the Pulitzer Prize!
The narrator, was fantastic, as well!

A glimpse into the life of a family man who’s life could’ve taken a very different turn and his bravery for an act of immense kindness toward a young woman living in the confines of the Magdalene laundry.
Difficult to believe this takes place in 1985.
Well worth the time to either listen to or read.
