Not Great
Reviewed: 01-08-20
I finished it but it felt very lost... he felt lost. A story of stories over the course of his life which helped him establish a mythology to live his life by. I was a bit sad hearing many of these stories. I'm glad he's found some sort of balance but can't help but wonder how full his life would feel if he found truth in the infallible word of God. I think he would be blown away and challenged by having a personal relationship with Jesus.

Story
"Silos" are organizations' vertical structures—but the word has become synonymous with barriers to workplace effectiveness and connotes deep political infighting. Silos devastate organizations, kill productivity, push good people out the door, and jeopardize the achievement of corporate goals. They cause stress, exasperation, and disappointment by forcing employees to fight bloody, unwinnable battles with people who should be teammates.

This is a nice story read by the author. This is not a "how-to" business book written by a successful businesman, it's more of an inspirational "you can do it if you put your mind to it" book.

Prayer seems like it should be so simple. Yet when it comes to actually praying, often it feels awkward and complicated. I mean...what should you actually pray about? What do you say? Is there anything you should or shouldn't say? Do you have to speak out loud? Where do you even start?

A Surprisingly Fun, Relatable Book on Prayer
Reviewed: 03-15-18
Man. I saw the title of this book and, having worked at a large nationally recognized prayer ministry, I was afraid this would be another pie in the sky touty book on prayer. It was quite the opposite. It was fun and relatable. It was nice to see the author, who's a pastor, open up and be vulnerable about his definciencies. We all go through this. I was moved and inspired to talk with God more in my daily life (knowing that I fall short) and be more intentional about praying for others around me. Overall, this is a great book. Highly recommended.

Here, the FUBU founder and star of ABC's Shark Tank shows that, far from being a liability, broke can actually be your greatest competitive advantage as an entrepreneur. Why? Because starting a business from broke forces you to think more creatively. It forces you to use your resources more efficiently. It forces you to connect with your customers more authentically and market your ideas more imaginatively.

Good Book on Ownership
Reviewed: 12-12-17
Overall this was a good book on taking ownership in areas where you can have influence. I mainly got this to go through it with one of my employees but I had some good takeaways, as well. There were times it felt like it was dragging on with examples and stories that I felt did not add much value but it was okay.
