Strong heroin, good backstory and cannot wait to read/listen to the next book. The audible on this was great and I think I raced through this book within just three days.

I almost wish I bought the book vs wasting my audio credit on this book. The story has so much potential but is wasted on over the top description, inner thoughts and her absolute cluelessness!! Gah, I had to speed up my audio because this dragged so much. I’m trying to finish this book and I’m hoping it picks up. Again, I like the story and world building, it’s a different type of vampire book

I enjoyed the story but honestly this book could of been cut in half. It was way too long and a bit repetitive. I almost gave up and it does not start to pick up till your about 1/2 way through. I will buy book 2 but not sure it’s worth the price of buying the audio version again.

Diving into book 4❤️❤️ This series is pretty good, my fav will always be the Indebted series. I liked Sully and enjoyed Elenor but I feel this had too much inner monologue. I also thought it was a bit too descriptive. It’s dark but no where near as dark as some of her other books.

Definitely some good twists and turns. Her writing style always blows me away along with her imagination.

Well this book is really for the romantics. I think I was hoping for something a little bit edgier not darker but more action. I wanted more MMA fights. I went into this book thinking we’d see more matches but it was more of the same back-and-forth, reminds me so much of Friends Ross and Rachel.

Although I prefer the dark reads, I need a romantic sweet story every once in a while and that’s really what this is, it’s a good romance. The author can also write some good steamy scenes, solid 3 1/2 ⭐️’s

I love this author and have read many of her books but I think before I buy book 3, I’ll wait for 4 to be released. I usually connect pretty quick with her characters, I pre order and cannot wait but not this series.

Passion oozes through her other books but I cannot stand Sophia. She is a pampered brat and her tough talk gets very old. I also had issues with Hades. I felt nothing for these characters. I think I’m salty because I spent $13 on the audio and should of only spent $6.99. I have a hard time believing Sophia’s feelings about love, her reasons suck and are lame. I love dark romance/suspense but I feel this has none of that.

I hate giving this a 3 and I think I’ll order the Wolf and Sheep series instead. Her Buttons series is one of my favs and she is great at writing dark characters. Not having SOME feelings toward Hades made me skip some of Sophia’s chapters. The steam between them was also a bit off.

This has an interesting plot and the action would of been great if it were not for Rena. The inner thoughts drove me nuts!! An action scene that should only last 5 minutes goes on for 20(only issue and why a 3vs 4⭐️).

This is not dark, more romance and angst. I enjoyed the audio version of this book and bought book 3 because of the cliffhanger. I think it’s a decent vampire series, no insta-love but a slow build which I enjoyed.

I was hoping for more of a romantic-suspense/dark read but this is full on romance. Araenea is very much the damsel in distress and Sterling is her hero.

I was so glad I read the Tangled Web series 1st which is actually books 4 and 5. I enjoyed those characters and looking forward to book 6.
If I had read books 1- 3 first I would have skipped the rest of the series. The issue I have with a Aranae and Sterling’s relationship is he says the same thing over and over again. He keeps saying you’re mine and you’re safe. Also for someone who is just discovering her past, when it comes to meeting those people, she chickens out and clings to him like a child! Anytime he wants to talk to her about something, she says later and it leads to sex. Then we have a 25 minute explanation about his ab’s, his clothes, the color of the room and the damn windows!!!Way too much description, it just got annoying. Anytime we came close to a possible secret reveal she cries, she can’t eat, she gets pissed about the damn door.
She finally gets back to work and it’s like five chapters about the building, the scenery and Jenna.
I’m going to give book 3 a shot because of course I already bought it. I enjoy this author but for some reason Sterling and Aranae are missing the connection.

My biggest gripe is the amount of description the author gives to each situation. You think you are getting ready to discover a secret then a lengthy 20 minute description of how Araneae feels about Sterling just goes on and on. It’s a good book and I’ve already bought the series. Looking forward to hearing about her past.
